    When I arrived there was appeared to be snot on my bed and multiple other issues with cleanness. The staff is amazing tho they’re all super nice and helpful only reason I gave it 2 stars.

    We've been IHG members for years. The Coldwater might. Hotel is the worst we've stayed in. We had 1 bad experience but thought we'd give them a 2nd chance when they promised they address our previous complaint of smokey room. They did not and lot's of issues still.1. No ice maker working 2nd floor2. Only 1 coffee machine working at breakfast3. Pancake maker worked 50% of the time4. Egg omelets were suitable for pothole repair. 5. When complaint was discussed at front desk, the manager walked right past desk clerk with ignoring our issues6. Room only had 1 full Toilet paper roll at check in. We had to go down to desk to get 2nd roll.     Clean and Comfortable Overnight Stay

    Holiday Inn Express in Coldwater, MI provided a good overnight stop for our journey home from the upper peninsula. Our king room and bath was clean and comfortable. We always appreciate the choice of firm and soft pillows. We're still not a fan of the current lounge chair or the lighting of the bathroom mirror, but we put up with those inconveniences for the comfortable sleep and the luscious cinnamon rolls that come with the complimentary breakfast. Three complaints for this stop:1) the replenishment of breakfast items was slow during the first hour of the breakfast hours; meats and eggs were slow to come out; I don't think the breakfast staff ever put out more cinnamon rolls2) the new coffee dispenser provides a nice hot cup of coffee, but there doesn't seem to be a way to top off; we just had to get another whole cup3) the wall-mounted lamps beside the bed either have shades that are too short or light bulbs that are too tall which can be blinding. Holiday Inn Express will continue to be one of our go-to hotels. We appreciate the consistency of the rooms and breakfast and expect that they will keep improving guests experience.

    We been members of the IHG rewards program for years and have stayed at this particular Holliday Inn Express in Coldwater Michigan many times before. However, the passes 3 stays the pool was out of service there wasn’t anything on the website that stated that information. Having two kids that’s something they looked forward too and we’re disappointed when told the pool was out of service. When we contact the Holliday in today to possibly Book a stay and speak to the current manager we were denied communication with the manager, and was told that she would be meetings all day. Therefore, we decided to go with a competitor, even though we’ve been Holiday Inn express customers for many years, the receptions V was rude and very disrespectful she lacked willingness to help or even l listen to my concern. I would not recommend anyone or will ever stay at this location going forward because of her disrespectful manner.     Housekeeping and maintenance lacking

    Hotel maintenance and housekeeping needs attention. The air conditioning didn’t work in the first room. Front desk attendant tried fixing it and told us to wait a few minutes to see if it would correct itself. He said it wasn’t working earlier in the day so not sure why he thought it would fix itself. Moved to another room. The bathroom light was out in the 2nd room and there wasn’t a hair dryer. Housekeeping should vacuum regularly. These minor things should be checked before guest check in.
