  Friendly staff with a nice location right behind the monkey forest. The place was clean but could use some renovation, painting in the rooms for instance and the AC did not fully work since there were windows that could not be closed.We experienced some issues: the toilet did not work for the first day, the safe was not functioning, the door of the room was a sliding one and it was not possible to fully lock it, which made it not trustworthy. However, when we highlighted those issues with the staff the following day, they fixed them. We had high expectations for the breakfast, judging from the reviews. However, it was average.

  Perfectly located just round the corner from the monkey forest this small accommodation is just what was required from me. Homely, clean and central. although I had to leave before breakfast hours they prepared a breakfast box which included bread butter jam marmalade hard boiled egg and a selection of fresh fruit.

  Lovely place to stay in ubud

  We stayed at mawa house for 5 nights. Great place to stay in ubud. Close to monkey forest and short walk into centre. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There's a small pool but only 2 sunbeds.Breakfast was amazing. Served to you on you balcony. Rooms coukd do with a small fridge to keep water cold. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would definately return

  I was at Mawa House a couple of weeks ago. I was there for 7 nights, and it was all incredible. The breakfast is for sure a highlight. I love how they use glass bottle instead of plastic ones as well. Everyone was friendly, staff was always thoughtful, and room was clean. It's pretty close from all the shops in Ubud and really close to the monkey Sanctuary, Would highly recommend this place. Mawa House U, Manajer at Mawa House, responded to this review Dear.   My girlfriend and I stayed at this guesthouse for two nights in December. The location is just behind the monkey forest which means that you have to walk on the outside of the forest to reach the main road in Ubud. It's about a ten minute walk and can be quite adventurous as it is filled with monkeys. It's possible to reach the main road by scooter too. Our room was very clean, spacious and quite modern for a guesthouse. The breakfast was very good as well. The only issue was that our sheets were not exactly clean when we arrived. There was some red marks (possibly mosquito blood) and some hair. We asked to have them changed right away and they did without any problem. Overall a really nice guesthouse with great hosts.
