  Read before you book!!!

  Jan 26 we booked 4 of the poolside luxury villas for a family reunion via booking.com. The payment protocol was pay property direct on arrival just under £1000 for 4 nights. The hotel stated they only have 8 villas and we were overjoyed we had secured 4 of themIn march my phone number had been leaked by by some one in Nusa Lembongan as I received a suspicious whatsapp message purporting to be from the property asking for all my bank details to confirm the booking. I Contacted hotel direct who confirmed this was a scam. The hotel was helpful prior to my arrival arranging ferry tickets and a pick up from the port. Arrived at hotel and paid the property via card over £900 the villa price secured by Booking.com. We were then shown to not the luxury villas we booked, but 4 standard rooms in a site next door. The present day price of these rooms is considerably cheaper than what we had just paid.The rooms we were given are not shown on the trip advisor site.These rooms transpired to be the ground floor of a 3 story block which was under construction.In fact my daughter had stayed in the building a couple of years ago when it was a backpackers hostel We raised our concerns and were told these were the luxury rooms we booked, rookie error did not screen shot rooms at point of booking.The rooms were nicely decorated the room and linens were clean but not the luxury we paid for. However the walls were paper thin we could hear the family talking and moving around next door. This became unbearable about 0430 when their baby started screaming . In fact our family, both two rooms away either side were also woken by the noise. At 08.30 the construction above then started and the noise was unbearable with drilling and jackhammers. After getting up and going outside we were hit with a strong smell of solvents and chemicalsWe raised our concerns with the property about the noise and heath and safety of moving about under a construction site . We were offered a move into the villas for the last two nights of our 4 night stay. We declined and said we would pay for the night we stayed but wanted a refund for the remaining nights,We were told we could only cancel via booking ,com . we were so desperate to get out I called booking.com in the UK to help. We were then offered a refund either by bank transfer or cash I gave my account details and then started to look for alternate accommodation. Not an easy thing for 7 people on a small island.We found an excellent hotel up the road called the Mahagiri.After we left I received notification that the property had listed us as a no show booking to booking.com, however the customer service lady in the UK had clearly heard the construction when I was on the phone. We were then contacted by the property and told we could not have a bank transfer we could only have Indonesian cash which I declined as it would be of no use to us .Again I contacted b.com with this issue ,who I believe exerted some pressure and we were eventually given a refund via bank transfer.Today as I write the hotel is still offering these rooms with no mention they are below a construction site.If you want to keep your family safe and have a peaceful and relaxing holiday in Nusa Lembongan stay away from this hotel.

  We celebrated my birthday at this hotel, and everything was absolutely wonderful.Thank you for creating such a warm, loving, and family-like atmosphere - it truly made our stay special. The attention to detail and care from the staff did not go unnoticed.It was a very comfortable stay for us, especially traveling with both our children and our dog, which was greatly appreciated. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the bedding was very comfortable.We left with beautiful memories and would be happy to come back again

  5* plus! Our family group booked out the villa area for 5 nights for a family Xmas. The villas, pool, restaurant and location were all excellent! Mitha and the team provided amazing service and couldn’t have been more helpful. All meals in the restaurant were great. This resort and the team get a 5*+ from me!

  Great atmosphere with staff who are helpful. Bare, Paris & Mitha were so helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable looking out to lovely gardens and a well kept pool. Meals & cocktails were amazing. Great value! Highly recommend.

  Me and my girlfriends stayed in Pondok Baruna Frangipani and had the best time.The room was beautiful and tidy, with a large bathroom and amenities. The pool is great with all day sun. The location is also fantastic nestled off the main road but still very quiet and private.The Sampan Restaurant is fabulous and so handy to have just beside the accomodation, We dined there several times. The staff were fantastic and attentive, helping us out with any and all questions we had. Thank you for the amazing holiday. We will be back!
