  Got this hotel because of proximity to bus station. Area is very dodgy as described by other reviews. There is a security guard walking around inside the restaurant and lobby which is reassuring. Food is poor but appears to be popular with other customers. The lunch special was not good and breakfast looked so so. Staff all very young and I found them not particularly friendly. They appeared overworked and not happy in their jobs. You get what you pay for.

  Lovely staff, terrible shady location

  I have stayed in Ibis Hotels all over the world, and this one had lovely, helpful caring staff. They are a credit to the company, a girl on reception even leant us her travel card for the metro. The hotel is very busy with the location being next to a huge noisy bus terminal. I could hear the buses all night through the double glazing. The street outside is intimidating with the vendors, and when dark even more so. Couldn't comment on muggings but saw young lads trying to pickpocket with my own eyes. Loads of travellers passing through the area so the streets were packed. If I had read the reviews properly I would not of chosen here to stay, but in the centre of the city.

  Very nice hotel , great staff, very helpful. However, the locations is terrible. It is close to the bus station and the sidewalks are full of vendors. This makes it difficult to walk through. There are many pickpockets. I stayed at this place many times, but in the last two years, I was robbed twice during the day. So if you can, avoid this area.

  This is the first time I visit Santiago and I was expecting a good service in this country but unfortunately my check inn wasn’t pleacent, took so long and I didn’t have any information about the city and location.The receptionist was ready to go for lunch and didn’t explain the facilities in the hotel, I wish the ambassador of the hotel was there, I meet her last day and she make me feel more welcoming. I hope after this experience staff can be more aware about give better service to the clients.For locals should be good because is a convenience place to stay.

  My sister and I were attended by leanyer and she was awesome. So sweet and helpful and full of energy. All the staff here have been really great. Also the pisco sours were delicious. The rooms are great as well
