    I booked under “Puri Naga Beachfront Cottages” but it seems this place changes names

    I am a budget minded traveller so I dont expect 5 star. What I do expect is this:1: Working toilet 🙁2: Hot shower with pressure ☹️3: Clean bed 😥The first room I was allocated had a loud humming noise. Turned the aircon and fridge off thinking I cld do without those if it stopped the noise, but it didn’t. I was given another room which was quiet.It seemed ok when I walked in so I decided to stay the 1 st night (I’d paid for 4) and see how it went.Then the Bathroom happened!! There was used toilet paper and extras in the toilet. The toilet handle didn’t work and if you played around to get it to flush you couldnt get it to stop.The shower was OMG hideous. See photos. Worst part was the pressure was a dribble at best. The sink was cracked and the entire bathroom had a horrible stench. The pool had cracked tiles which were sharp and the umbrellas had frames but no covers!!! Anyway I was still determined to see some good but then I realised there was no chair at the desk. It’s ok I’ll go to bed. The sheets felt oily and smelt like mothballs and were so thin they actually had holes in them. The mattress was ok but I woke up during the night because springs were poking into my chest! After 3 hrs sleep I decided to move hotels. Such a shame as this could be a great place if a few things were addressed.I

    The resort is not new, and it shows. But the location relative to the beach and nice restaurants is fine. Cleaning is well arranged, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant of the resort serves simple but tasty meals at very low prices. Last year there were no parasols at the pool, but now there are, which is a big improvement.

    This place is a dump, if it was a part of your body it would be part armpit, part bumhole. The only positive is its location is good and the staff are friendly (and seemingly aware of how run down place is), although it is Indonesia so everyone is friendly.The shower head fell off the wall in a bathroom that had the unmistakable nutty aroma of raw sewerage. There were water leaks directly onto exposed wiring (and water leaks not directly onto exposed wiring for the duller holiday makers)The pigeons that were nesting on the front porch, despite being rather cute had pooed all over the porch and it's furniture making it unusable and finally it looked as though someone had pooed in the kettle. I travel a lot, mainly through developing countries and this is truly one of the most deceiving and terrible places I've stayed in. We had 4 nights booked, lasted 1. Further to that we haven't had any response from them. It's a dump.

    Electrical wires hanging out of walls, toilet not working, pool was disgusting. Whole place was dirty and in bad repair. Booked through Bookings.com - omg! They are useless, NO customer service. We had booked for 13 nights, but left after one. Good bye $$.Good reason why their bookings.com is full of stock photos, because the place is a shambles

    Appalling! 4 Star? No Way! Not Even 2 Star!

    Has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Listed as 4 star and it really isn’t even 2 star! It was absolutely filthy. We had 2 rooms and the weeds in the garden on our arrival told me this wasn’t going to be good. I asked the staff to come and clean the terrifying bathrooms and they made a very meek effort. 2 showers, 2 toilets and only 1 of each worked, next day no toilets worked. Do not believe the lovely photos! Room stunk of damp, the filth was dreadful, mosquitoes everywhere, cloudy pool with broken tiles and views of derelict scary buildings unused pool bar, algae ridden pond with poor goldfish covered in ulcers & growths. I can’t believe we stayed 2 nights before bailing and reneging on our last 3 nights. Yes it’s near the beach but really who cares when you feel nauseous staying at this hotel? AVOID!
