    Happy Staff makes the holiday

    rating26 Jan 2026

Just spent another nine nights at the fabulous Iberostar Selection Sabila. Staff are great always smiling, very helpful and friendly. And this starts at your check-in and continues for the rest of your stay. Pre booking of the sun beds has stopped the early morning rush, but your first two days you could be allocated a bed anywhere as the clients that are already at the resort can select there's uptown two days in advance. However don't worry as Santiago and Carmela are there to help you. They will sort all needs. As will Marie and her staff who work at the Pool bar / restaurant and serve us through the day with waitress serve to your sun bed. Great staff who need a special mention working outside all day in the sun all day. My only concern is the Cocktails, we tried the Pina Colada again (we tried them in 2025 as well), but unfortunately they are still being poured out of a carton and not made up fresh. Personally I think it's shocking that a 5* hotel is providing pre-made cocktails. Which worries that this hotel will cater more for AI. We normally go B&B but this time we tried Dinner in restaurant for a couple of nights. Food is of great quality and an extensive range to suit every body's taste buds. There is an drinks menu extensive in the main hotel bar with a good choice of entertainment through the week. All in all another great stay and we have already booked up for 2027

Laid-back Friendly Hotel With Good Facilities

    rating30 Sept 2025

Enjoyed a laid-back stay at this friendly family-run hotel near the sleepy traditional village of Theologos. After arriving late evening and some initial confusion over hotel vouchers (we booked via Thomas Cook/TUI) we had time for a late drink in the well-stocked bar, which was to form our base camp most lunchtimes (the €3.50 chicken giro pitta is a meal in itself!)Rooms were light and airy, with a good size balcony with decent quality chairs and table. Maid service was every day, so the room stayed pretty spotless. Paid extra for safe desposit box (3 euros per day) and aircon (4 euros per day). There is also tourist tax to pay, something like 20 euros per room per week.Breakfast filled a gap. There was good coffee and yoghurt, a selection of breads and pastries, and a selection of hot foods that varied daily and often included local specialities such as spinach pie as well as random things like mac'n'cheese and onion rings! The pebbly beach was 5 minutes walk away, and a sparse selection of restaurants of varying quality about 10 to 20 minutes along the busy main road, where you wilm also find a small number of mini-markets.Negatives for the hotel, none of them show-stoppers in my view, were the extremely patchy wifi that dropped out every five minutes, and the relentless Taylor Swift playing from the bar all day every day. Sunbed usage round the beautiful pool was unpredictable, some days plenty available, other days not a single one to be had. Finally, in keeping with every other property in that corner of the island, the aircraft noise from the busy airport 5km down the road was pretty hard to ignore sometimes. Quite fun to see the candy-striped planes go by tho!Although I've knocked a star off for the accumulation of very minor niggles above, I would happily stay at the Sabina Hotel again.

Great for a relaxing budget holiday

    rating24 Sept 2025

I went on a girls holiday and this hotel was great! Obviously its not going to be on the same level as a 5 star hotel, but for what we paid for we were very satisfied. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bathroom has a nice shower. The rest of the hotel feels clean and tidy. Everyone in reviews complain about the planes, but I honestly didnt think about them at all!The pool was great and you can rent towels from reception. The staff are all very friendly and we had some lovely chats with them. Breakfast was nice, with a good range of hot and cold food (the yoghurts were the best). One downside is the surrounding area. Theologos was a bit empty, with only a few shops and restaurants. We stayed for a week, but I don't think I could've filled any more days. Some recommendations are:•Rhodes Old Town (get the bus down the road for only €2)•Mariposa Restaurant (slightly pricey, but amazing food and atmosphere)•Sunset Beach Bar (great food, great view, fun music... we came back twice!)Overall I would recommend if you wanted a relaxing budget holiday!

    Lovely hotel and amazing staff

    rating02 Aug 2025

Just home from a week here after a lovely holiday with my son. The hotel itself, was lovely, extremely welcoming and helpful throughout, clean rooms everyday and generally very well maintained! Always sunbeds available. Perfect base for exploring! The area itself is the only reason I wouldn’t return. It’s ok if you’re wanting to just relax by the pool, anything out of that is abit tricky I think. Only a handful of restaurants to chose from, not much in the way of nightlife, a few nice touristy shops, but that’s your lot! We got a taxi into old town Rhodes, which was €35 each way, you can get a bus, which we used to get there 1 day but ended up getting a taxi back because the bus was extremely cramped, hot and very uncomfortable because it was so busy you’re left standing squeezed up to people! There’s an amazing petting zoo about 10 minutes taxi €20/€21 each way, I’ll leave a review for there but it was amazing!! The beach is a very short walk, very stoney and the water is pretty rough, it’s lovely and warm though! Overall, we loved our stay at the Sabina, just wish it were located in a more convenient place :( but that’s my fault for not researching the area fully.

    rating28 Jun 2025

Lovley little hotel, all the staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The food is fab. Lovley relaxing place. With the beach just a 5 minute stroll down the road. There is nothing to dislike at all..
