Location

The hotel is situated only 5 minutes' walking distance from the beach. The famous surfing challenge is held at Kuta/Legian beach. The hotel is located only 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport (roughly 15 km) and 15 minutes from the city of Denpasar.

    The only good things about this hotel was it was very quiet overnight and we could leave our bags at reception

    This hotel is in dire need of maintenance and a good clean.It needs an invested hotel manager to prioritise works needed and staff roles We have travelled to bali a lot and this was a disappointing experience. Our fridge was putrid. The towels and room smelt bad. Bed mattress was old and where the 2 beds had been pushed together there was a very hard join. The decoration throw on the bed was dirty. The bathroom door was warped and did not close properly. They do not provide any soap for the bathroom sink! They only provide body wash in the shower.So if someone is in the shower you can’t wash your hands with soap.This is the first time we have ever not had soap to wash our hands after going to the toilet and thought this was ridiculous cost cutting. The toilet had bad stains in it and on the toilet seat. The staff seemed to sit around and not do much.They don’t clean properly, for example, the ask fry from the last guests was emptied but they left the dirty ask tray unwashed so it stunk outside the room.Empty guest bottles were left around the pool for hours. Yet there was a staff member sitting near the pool all day doing nothing proactive. The outdoor toilet near reception is disgusting.This place will likely go broke. We would not stay here again.

    Loved this place, if I knew how much I would have liked it would have booked over my other accommodation choices. It had that old school Bali feel, which I love great pool area and plenty of chairs to sun bathe. Room was outdated but again I was still happy there. It was clean and that is important.

    The staff are great, happy to help with anything. The hotel is quite run down but when you think about the price, I'm happy for what we got.The cheapest room (I think Superior) has a 'shared patio' which is the patio in front of the 5 or 6 rooms. It's also under cover. My friends stayed in these rooms and were quite dark with only a very small window.The other rooms have two chairs outside their front door which overlook the pool so a little more space and slightly bigger windows for a little more light. Air con is great!There isn't much soundproofing so if you want a lie in and people are by the pool it can sound quite close!The rooms themselves are a bit dated and I would say 'the little things' weren't noticed each day. You're given two bottles of water in the bathroom and two in the bedroom daily.It's a 2 minute walk to the beach. Has a coffee shop, book shop and cute little clothes shop right by it. Sol's deli a minute walk (recommend) and othe restaurants 10/15 minute walk away.Hopefully this helps the next person as we were unsure when reviewing! All in all, for the hotels we've stayed in and for the price we paid we all said we'd stay again.

    I think this might be the nosiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Close proximity to the road and paper thin walls with motorbikes driving by all day and all night. You won't get a restful sleep with the constant road noise. It's awful. Staff are polite and very helpful and hotel rooms are spacious, air conditioned but VERY dark. Little to no natural light. Cose proximity to beach however down a poorly lit, isolated lane way.

    My son and I used Sarinande as a base for excursions around Indonesia. This place is slowly recovering from covid, and as a result, their restaurant has not yet opened. Breakfast can be had a coffee shop next door, or at any restaurant five minutes walk away.The rooms were clean, although a bit worn. The hotel has a magnificent pool area, which actually does look like on the pictures. The pool is clean and the surroundings are beautiful. A great place to hang out.The Seminyak beach is only five minutes walk down the road. There are plenty of restaurants 5-10 minutes walk away.The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They had no problem keeping some of our stuff for a few days, while we went on an excursion to Borneo. Since the hotel is located on a small side street, it is very quiet at night. No honking helps a good night's sleep.Sarinande is great value for money in Seminyak. If you require a spotless hotel with top notch service, this may not be your place. But if all you are looking for is a clean, hospitable place, Sarinande might be. I would definitely pick it again, should I return to Seminyak.
