    Basic but great location

    We had the rooftop penthouse which was very spacious and big. The penthouse and the hotel are okay with basic facilities however breakfast is very slow and difficult to get help for taxi from the receptionist at night. Location is great though, near to restaurants and bars.

    For our last night in Bali we decided to book the 'Penthouse' suite. Whilst it delivers on the 200sqm size but not on the 'resort' services or the luxury. The complex is more accurately Self-Contained Apartments.The decor is very lack lusture and outdated, like a neglected 80's renovation long abandoned. Artificial wood detailing and odd random shelves, and general 'unclean' feeling. There was a persistent damp musty smell which made it hard to relax and the air con did little to dissipate the heat.There was also a neglected water feature on the roof with suffering fish swimming around. Please clean this!!! It was filthy.The complex needs an interior designer, some renovations (particularly the bathrooms), and some on site house keepers and trained staff if you are to call it a resort. If you want a luxury stay, look somewhere else.

    We stayed for 10 days at the start of July with our adult daughter. We had two separate rooms. We were on the ground floor with a plunge pool and a first floor room for our Daughter. The complex is fairly new with on the whole very good facilities- BUT our room didn't have a wardrobe. The food (breakfast) wasn't that great so we eat out. This area of Bali (Canggu) has a volcanic sand beach and is hub for surfers. They have a smallish pool which is quite cold as it doesn't get much direct sunlight.There is a fair bit of construction around the place but it wasn't that disturbing. Overall we did like the quality of complex and the small number of staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Clean, Modern, self contained apartments

    Echo Beach Resort is a modern style apartment block for holiday guests. Rooms are clean and modern with plenty of kitchen amenities but could use a larger fridge for persons staying for longer periods of time. There is a construction site in front whilst I was here but our bedroom was in the rear of the apartment so it didn't wake me up. Huge comfy bed and cable tv in the bedroom and living room, massive bath tub and rainfall shower. Worth staying here if you want private self contained accommodation and have your own transport...
