  My reasent stay in Grand King Hotel

  My recent stay had both positive elements and some significant disappointments.Unfortunately, the suite did not meet the standards I expected. Some of the furniture was worn and damaged, and the pillows were very high with no alternative options available in the room. It also appeared that maintenance had not been fully completed before my arrival, as a ceiling panel had been moved. Although I was told that repair technicians would come shortly, there seemed to be a lack of coordination between departments.I was unable to reach reception by phone, and there was no coffee offered in the room. In the morning, I asked where I could have an espresso and was informed there would be an additional charge. The quality of the coffee did not meet expectations. Considering the rate of 228,842.98 ARS for one night (booked through my company), I anticipated a higher overall standard and better room readiness.On a positive note, most of the staff were very polite and professional. The room attendant was especially kind and took the time to explain the maintenance situation. Only one interaction at reception in the morning felt less welcoming.I hope the hotel can improve communication between teams and ensure rooms are fully prepared before check-in, as the staff clearly have the potential to provide a much stronger guest experience.

  Shabby but not chique....2 star hotel at best. Located on a noisy pedestrian street with music thumping out until midnight. Rooms are very basic. Breakfast is also basic. The hotel is unwelcoming. Consider looking elsewhere.

  Old, noisy, dirty. No chance is a 4 star hotel. Maybe 2.5 star if they’re lucky. You can hear every noise in the next room. Some rude staff at the front desk. Reid to buy a bottle from the restaurant. The staff there wouldn’t help, said not possible. The water coming out of the bath was really dirty. All in all a disappointing stay. The location is excellent. No doubt about that. You can walk to alot of nice places. Cars/ taxis don’t kick up drop off from front of hotel. You have to walk 100m with bags.

  Fascinating experience

  A fascinating stay. This is perfectly central to restaurants and things to do. It was frustrating to be woken daily by "Cambio, cambio!" being yelled all day every day. There are a large number of restaurants around you to go to. If you need power points, good luck. To charge my CPAP machine, the staff had to wrench the bed headboard off the wall. (second of second booking room) The other powerpoint we used were difficult to access, under the desk.One weird thing is that the rooms don't have smoke detectors and when I asked for one, I was ask what had happened to be wanting one. I didn't tell them about the power point supporting the CPAP machine making sizzling noises. (first room).We had to change rooms half way through the trip as we had made 2 bookings and couldn't stay in the same room. Our second room started in one room with no air-conditioning and we moved rooms the next day (first room of the second booking)So yes, over 10 days we stayed in 3 rooms.The staff are really lovely and very helpful. The beds are comfy, breakfast OK.All the windows open up fully so beware if staying with small children.The only English TV station we could find was cage fighting.

  You see the hotel incredible on the internet, but the reality is different. It's an old building, which I understand, but the rooms are not amazing, the carpets in the corridors look really dirty, the service is not good at all. The maid was more eager to ask if she better not clean until the next day, you have cockroaches in the room, the shower is very small both at the top and the space. You think the elevator is going to come off and it's very small. The noise is extreme, you can hear everything that happens in the rooms, the Argentines who stay are really noisy, the doors slam shut, it smells bad inside the bedrooms. I asked about the air conditioning and the answer was that due to the current climate they don't turn it on, that they only use the heating if you're cold, I told them that I'm not cold but hot, but I can't use it, they don't have a machine, at least for coffee , breakfast is not included. Really pay a cost for something horrible, dirty and bad service.
