Location

The hotel is located behind a rustic Balinese village, where all aspects of traditional rural life can be experienced. It is situated within a short walk of the centre of Ubud that leads guests through the beautiful surrounding rice paddy fields. The Ubud area is the cultural and spiritual heart of Bali. Ubud Market and the Monkey Forest are both roughly 2 km from the hotel, Ubud Palace is around 3 km away and the Ayung River is approximately 5 km away. The hotel is conveniently located only around one hour and 15 minutes' drive from Denpasar International Airport.

Facility

The 7 rooms have a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. 7 villas/houses offer even more space and comfort. Check-in and check-out are possible at any time at the reception desk. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The bungalow complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Other services include a babysitting service, a childcare service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Cyclists can make use of the bicycle storage area and hire service. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. A balcony or terrace is a standard feature of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms can be booked. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking and fishing are available. With windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym, yoga and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments, Ayurveda treatments and a solarium. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a café and a bar. Bed and breakfast can be booked. A wide variety of dishes are served at all three main mealtimes. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner as a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    A very comfortable stay, out of the main tourist season.

    I was allocated Creta Palm as a replacement for my selected hotel, which was unable to accommodate me. I was unsure what to expect, but was pleased. The hotel is friendly, with helpful reception staff, available 24 hours (always reassuring for a solo traveller). The main hotel has a lovely pool (too cold to use on this visit), and a small variety area, with a very jovial barman, who quickly learned names and drink choices! I was concerned the hotel would be too noisy for me. However, my room was in the annex across the road (a busy road at times, but there is a direct footbridge), and once in my room, all I could hear was the crash of waves on the beach! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I did get bitten by mosquitoes on the first night - do come prepared!Breakfast had a good choice, and plenty. I recommend the yoghurt!Creta Palm is a good base for exploring the Chania area. There are public buses running along the coast (sometimes can be unreliable), and the city is walkable (about 90 minutes). Can also recommend a trip to Imbros Gorge.If I visited again, I would definitely hire a car so I could see more of Crete.

    Great Stay at Creta Palm

    We have just returned from a lovely week staying at Creta Palm, I would happily recommend it. All staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, they really go out of their way to make your stay pleasant.Our room was very good, great size, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The cleaning staff were very thorough, thank you to them for their hard work.Breakfast had a really good choice of both hot and cold food, even the fussiest eater could have a good breakfast. There are two good sized pools at Creta Palm, plenty of sun beds around the pools and in garden areas. All in all we had a great week here, we would happily return. The location is excellent, a really lovely beach just across the road and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The bus stops just outside the hotel for easy travel into Chania or other nearby resorts.

    Although the atmosphere is good and the place is well structured the rooms we were staying didn't have access to signal in general so we couldn't receive or do any phone calls. The wifi is good in the dining room but not available in the other rooms.

    Great hotel rooms good size very clean thhroughout the hotel. Staff approachable & friendly food really tasty with lots of choice. Two pools with bar areas where you can order from the lunch menus. We are returning for our 5th visit inn May 2026
