    Don’t leave things in your room

    The manager Bernet spoke to me about leaving things behind She told me she leave it In her office for me to pick it up She said I call you back She said ask me if I had prof after youJust said you had my things do I have the proof The call was recorded you said A ps5 control is one thing you lied for no reason hopefully you or the staff don’t steal and let people know it’s there and when I call to say I’m on the way now it’s no where to be found Very unprofessional Bernet !!

    "Your to Blame, Not Us" - Un-comfort Inn & Unaccountable Too.

    I checked in for a three-night stay regarding a wedding but spent the weekend managing a series of significant maintenance failures.The infrastructure at this location is clearly struggling. We dealt with a 36-hour Wi-Fi blackout, recurring plumbing backups that rendered our bathroom unusable, and a room door that physically would not lock during our final night + final morning.Plumbing: The toilet clogged on day two. Maintenance plunged it, but the fix was temporary. It failed again on Sunday, forcing us to use public restrooms in the hallway for much of our stay.Connectivity: The Wi-Fi was down for a full 36 hours (Saturday through Sunday). For business travelers, this would be catastrophic; for leisure travelers, it is simply unacceptable.Room Lock Security: Our room key failed late Saturday night. While a staff member managed to open the door and my key worked when tested with the staff member, the mechanism remained broken during the night, leaving our room unable to lock- which we discovered the following morning. During the night we used the pullover lock from the inside, but when we went to breakfast, the door was not lockedSunday morning my wife and I went to the front desk asked for the manager to outline the entire weekend and was told the manager was not in; The employee listened to the events we outlined and asked if any Comfort Inn employee suggested we switch rooms and/or if we ever asked to switch rooms; With being in and out for very long periods of time due to the wedding weekend events, we did not ask to move nor was it suggested for us to move to another room. The employee assured us the manager would contact me Monday morning; The manager did phone me Monday morning and rather than offering an apology or empathy, she adopted a defensive posture. I was met with deflection rather than accountability. She questioned why we did not request a room change, essentially shifting the burden of operational logistics onto the guest. Given that we were attending a wedding and returning late at night (11:30 PM), packing up to move room for one final night was not a viable option, and keep in mind, the toilet bowl backed up again the morning I was leaving, another issue I thought was resolved. She also indicated she was there all weekend and why we did not reach out sooner during our stay. If the Manager was aware of these compound issues all weekend, the lack of proactive outreach on her part is baffling.It is not the guest's job to manage the hotel’s plumbing, Wi-Fi issues or troubleshoot their security systems at midnight. The Manager’s tone suggested that because other rooms were fine, our experience was a one-off. This lack of empathy and refusal to take ownership is a red flag. I cannot recommend staying here and will be reaching out to corporate until management understands the basics of hospitality.I should have taken pictures but my review should give you an idea.

    Comfort Inn & Suites, Dayville CT Where to begin… this hotel is ok. It’s the only name brand hotel in this area. So, not a lot of choice, but to stay there. And, this proprietor knows it. Their rates are high, even if you feel like you are getting a good rate. The hotel is old and outdated and reeks of cigarette smoke even though they profess to be a smoke free property. Upon my arrival, there was no one at the front desk. There is a sign directing you to call a phone number to check in. When we called the number, the front desk phone started ringing. Someone answered from somewhere else on the property. We were told that they’d be with us in a moment. They took their time coming to the front desk. They looked like we were inconveniencing them. Amy, was her name. She was unapologetic. We then had a question about our rate and she couldn’t help us. Again, no apology. So, in the end, I ended up paying $300 for one night in an outdated hotel in the middle of nowhere that reeks of cigarette smoke with a cranky front desk staff. Pros - the room didn’t smell of cigarette smoke thankfully and was clean and comfortable. There is an indoor swimming pool that looked nice. It is located right off of the highway (Rte 395). Town is about 10 mins away which is where you’ll find gas stations, shopping, and a few restaurants.

    Everything was up to Comfort Inn standards. Hotel is in an individual area, geared towards people working in the area. No housekeeping. No breakfast and extremely expensive. Another hotel that I will not be going back to.

    Traveled to see a sick sibling so did not spend a lot of time there. But was very quiet and comfortable when I was. Friendly courteous staff, very clean and affordable. Great location away from traffic but easy to locate and navigate the area. Will be staying again in 2 weeks. Thank you
