Comfortable & Close to Komodi Meeting Point

    rating30 Jan 2026

We stayed in Labuan Bajo during our diving trip to Komodo National Park, and Komodo Suites was a great choice. The accommodation was tidy, comfortable, and conveniently located in the town center. The staff were warm, helpful, and always willing to assist. As the hotel is central located, some noise is to be expected, including early morning calls to prayer from a nearby mosque, which is common in the area. Despite this, our overall experience was very pleasant, and the stay suited our needs perfectly.

    Central location and helpful staff

    rating12 Dec 2025

This is a budget hotel located in town with walking access to the port, shops and waterfront. Novi from reception is very helpful and efficient. The rooms are clean and simple and the airconditioner works though it takes awhile to cool the room. The price of the room comes with breakfast at the top of the building with a great view of the port and sea. This hotel is convenient if you are on a diving trip. There is a stand outside the room which you can hang wet swimsuits, etc. There is a restaurant on the premises and water dispenser on each floor to refill you bottles. There is no elevator to the different levels of the hotel and when it rains, it can be a challenge navigating the steps - not a place for families with young children. We had some issues with the toilet which they resolved quite quickly. No amenities. Wifi was spotty except in the reception area.

Alright for one night if you are not fussy

For the price, you can get much better options with an equally good location. Service was lacklustre. It was probably a good place to stay in some time ago when there was fewer options in town, but the facilities have not been upkept well and there are now many newer hotels with better service.

Great breakfast view on a hilly land

    rating01 Nov 2024

Located in the very center of the fishing village of Labuan Bajo, this homely hotel on a hill offered a nice and welcoming check-in and porter service to the room. The front desk staff is utmost kind and could without any hesitant guide me into the touristy tips and tricks of this quaint little town. The room itself is clean and spacious, but it is lacking light sources at night, therefore too dark to enjoy reading at night. The bathroom has an "industrial" feel which is difficult to describe in words, but has to be experienced to know. Let just say that the shower outlet is fixed to the wall. There is of course a breakfast buffet. I was pretty glad that the menu is rotated every day. The most impressive feature of the canteen is undoubtedly the harbor and the sea view. What a great sight to enjoy while sipping your first Java of the day! The Wifi speed is cheetah fast and the amenities are satisfactory without being too posh. The balcony is a calm place to sit in the afternoon with the hanging garden plants covering up the afternoon rays. I did try the hotel food for dinner. Although not as tasty and fancy as a bowl of Katsudon from a three-star Michelin restaurant in Japan, the tuna steak I opted for did however went down my throat smoothly, leaving a salty aftertaste (the fish piece could indeed be a tad bigger though). To sum up this stay, I would say it is a great value hotel in the tourist hub of Labuan Bajo with walking distance to everything that is of interest for the week-long sightseer like me. The hotel people are super-duper helpful and the vista from the breakfast sitting area is unbeatable to say the least.
