    Nice 24 hours

    rating07 Jun 2026

We stayed here to attend an event. Checkin was lovely. We were very early and the staff on the desk couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had booked ages ago and much later the group running the event issued a group rate. The lady checking us in asked if she should move us to that rate - it was such a lovely touch and hugely appreciated. We weren't waiting long at all for our room in the end and they rang me as they had promised they would. The room I really liked. It felt big and roomy and the bathroom felt similiar big. Now for the small whinges. I could not figure out the lighting - it took me ages to manage to turn on any light once I drew the curtains. It took me even longer to turn them all out later when I was going to bed - it really isn't straightforward! The other problem was the heated floor in the bathroom. I don't know if it can be turned off, but we certainly didn't manage to and it was uncomfortable to stay in there for any length of time. I had a light lunch in Suttons and it was really nice. Again lovely friendly staff. There were 2 different tour parties came in while we were there and it all seemed to just go off very well. Our event was one of 3 on there that night - and at no stage that day did the hotel appear overly busy. It is very well laid out to allow for a lot of people to move about feely. The meal at our event that night was lovely.Onto breakfast and this is my other small complaint. I got down to the breakfast area approximately 45 mins before the end of service and there was a very long queue there. Yes that last hour of breakfast is the busiest, especially with events the day before - and it felt like the breakfast room simply wasn't big enough. Once we were seated, breakfast was really good. It is all table service, juice, cereal, toast, cooked breakfast - and while it feels a little strange at the start, the food served was really nice. Once again, lovely staff. All in all a lovely stay. Dirty room

    rating06 Jun 2026

I booked a deluxe twin room and when we arrived we were told they upgraded our room and we would be in the garden room. The garden room had one king bed even thought I booked twin beds and the view was a roof with an old vape that someone had thrown out a window. The windows had no sheer curtains and there were so many windows looking into the room that I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. There were 2 chairs in the room and we couldn’t use either as they were so dirty , the carpet had stains/ bleach marks and the toilet was dirty and looked like a toilet brush hadn’t been used to clean it in a long time I have added pictures but they don’t show haw grubby chairs and toilet are for realistic . We booked the restaurant for dinner and when we asked where the restaurant was it was actually the bar. I had booked the hotel because on the website it says it had a restaurant We paid almost €300 for one night so expected a better standard than what it was. I did talk to the receptionist when I was checking out and showed her the photos I had taken of the dirt and she offered a voucher which I refused as we certainly will never stay there again, she did give a discount and I appreciate that but a quality night away was what I wanted not a reduced price for a dirty room. Management need to review their housekeeping and bring it up to an acceptable standard. Poor

    rating02 Jun 2026

Stayed for two nights. No answer from the reservations team to my email regarding my dinner booking - I had to ring twice to confirm the times. Room was way too warm, hard to sleep. No towels provided when room was refreshed, had to ring down for them. Breakfast was also poor for what you pay. Room and hotel was nice in general. Good for one night

    rating01 Jun 2026

The hotel is quite old, but it was clean overall. However, the carpets in the room showed their age, and the bed sheets had stains from excessive wear. Unfortunately, they only provided a thick comforter as a bed cover, which might be great for winter, but it's really uncomfortable during the summer months. On the bright side, the room had a functioning AC and plenty of space. My main issue was with the breakfast, which left much to be desired. Firstly, it was an à la carte menu rather than a buffet, limiting options. The choices leaned heavily towards meat and dairy, and the fresh fruit bowl was disappointing. The waitress didn't offer alternatives like oat milk, and the cereal and granola were of very low quality. The bread selection was frankly awful, and I felt breakfast should start at 6 AM since many guests want to explore the city early, especially those eager to make the most of their day.Aside from this, the hotel was decent, with ample parking and plenty of room.
