  My parents stayed here and had a wonderful time for my mother’s birthday. The hotel helped me get a birthday card to her that I sent through post to the hotel address! They will remember this stay as a great one and the communication with the hotel staff was really flawless, they were friendly, kind, attentive and very helpful! My parents also told me the room was very comfortable! So thank you, I highly recommend your establishment! 🌞😊🇮🇹❤️✨

  Warning to this place is just awful. I had to leave a day early and check in to another hotel at $400 aud.

  Don’t stay here. We have a terrible time here the window didn’t close properly and the room was not sound proof. The bed sloped to down the side of the bed. This is direct located over a loading ramp. Your will be woken up at 5am and 2 am from the drunken people walking home.

  The noise every morning at 530-6am with deliveries to the supermarket located under the accommodation was completely unbearable. We were staying in Room 2. Loud banging and grating noises for an extended period of time as trolleys rattled in and out was no way to enjoy waking up on holiday. This is such a material issue that impacts your enjoyment that it should have been disclosed at the time of booking. I wouldn’t have stayed, and I would strongly suggest others to consider a room not facing on to the street. The late check in logistics are excessive too - so I would not recommend staying here if you are arriving outside their normal hours. Aside from this, the breakfast was good.

  The best thing is the central location – perfect for the Centro Storico. However, finding it and which doorbell to push was difficult (two 051 labels). Initial greeting was fine but the constant change of staff over 5 days felt very distant, even though the staff as individuals were generally OK and tried to be helpful. But it is not a hotel reception situation.The room was spacious but fitted out very differently to the images on the website – a plain comfortable bed, poor linen, an old shower which leaked on the floor in an otherwise acceptable bathroom, made up only once over a 5 day stay (we were told every other day on check in) and a TV with no English language services (in a trade show city?). Worst of all was the daily 6.30 ‘morning call’ emanating from the delivery of noisy trolleys-full of goods arriving at the Coop supermarket one floor below – “there’s nothing we can do”.The breakfast was very poor – lousy coffee machine (in Italy? Really?), the sparse cold item provision was very low-rent and the same every day – Eggs? Forget it unless you like a very cold hard boiled option. After 7.00pm the staff are gone and the sitting room (the breakfast room actually) was neither welcoming nor homely, underlit and had a kettle and a Nespresso machine and milk in the fridge which the signs said guests were not allowed to enter!The overall experience was ‘functional’ and massively disappointing – a glorified B&B, certainly not a hotel, and an AirBnB challenger with no benefits. Yes everyone probably did their job but that’s what it felt like – a workable concept on paper but not one you’d choose to revisit after this experience! But it is very central and very expensive for what you get. If that floats your boat..... Laura Santaroni, Direttore generale at 051 Room & Breakfast, responded to this review It saddens me to see so much annoyance accumulated for 5 days of stay. We are not a hotel, and finding that out during your stay can't be nice. It's a shame that you didn't want to invest your time earlier and read some reviews rather than later... it would have saved us time, in reading a lot of bad things, and you, in finding a structure more suited to your requests. The staff is saddened as our goal is to treat our guests well with what we have. Why did you expect a different breakfast every day? Where did you read it? Did you even laugh about the doorbells, yes there are 2, and what's the problem? The coop below us is a reality in the historic centre, what type of response would you have accepted? Probably none. The cleaning is done every two days, are you sure you told the kids that you wanted it or did it bother you to talk to different people? The coffee from the machine is certainly not the one from the bar... we know it but it seems like you don't. We are open to comments but exaggerated ones only make us sad.

  Stayed for 3 nights and only experienced a very friendly and helpful receptionists with local tips for dinner spots. And a very friendly atmosphere. Room was spacious and the bed was perfect! Perfect location and close to every important spot in Bologna.
