Location

The hotel is set along the Via Emilia, just a few kilometres outside Bologna (11 km away). It is surrounded by a centuries-old park and various bars, pubs, restaurants and shopping venues are around 5 minutes away by public transport. The hotel is approximately 68 km from Modena, 60 km from Ferrara and 120 km from Florence. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is some 20 km from the establishment.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 23 non-smoking rooms, including 4 single rooms and 18 double rooms, located in a 4-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building.     Set in its own grounds with pool and restaurant on site .The Hotel also has its own car park too .We arrived late after our flight was delayed But check in went smoothly. We ate at the restaurant twice , yes it’s that good , the staff too are professional and are helpful. Many thanks to the manager and all his staff for another enjoyable start to our holiday .

    Historic villa, quite recently renovated. Cozy interior.Superior Double room was nice and OK size.The renovation seemed to be quite new and there were no signs of wear and tear, only the faucets were a little worn.Breakfast selection was quite small, but all the basic foods were available.Good size pool, but since it is also open to guests coming from outside the hotel, it is very crowded and there may be problems finding a free sunbed.Soundproofing of the windows is good, the music from the party in the courtyard was quite audible, but the soundproofing of the doors is poor, because all the voices from the corridor could be heard well into the room.Underground parking, but when the hotel is full, there are not enough places for everyone and the last ones have to park outside.Drinking water in the room was paid for.Events are organized here very often and this can be somewhat disturbing, since the entire area around the hotel is then densely packed with parked cars and the music can also be loud at times.The room had an ultra-modern switch with 9 very small buttons, but only 4 of them had a function. Since the buttons are very small, you had to look very carefully for the right button.

    A heaven for visitors

    A beautiful and well located hotel, about 20 minutes drive from Bologna.Spacious, very clean and quiet bedroom (third floor). The staff at the hotel and at the restaurant is very smiling and friendly.The proximity of the pool and restaurant is very convenient, despite the regular events taking place (weddings, celebrations…). We were not disturbed by these events at all, as people were all respectful and the staff well organised.The food is delicious 😋 and the park a heaven for plants and animals 👌We recommend highly 👌👌

    Me and my partner booked Relais Villa Valfiore for 2 nights from date 29.06-01.07.After driving for several hours we arrived the site, but the hotel hosted a wedding this day, so outdoor area and restaurant was closed. Basically we had to sit inside on our room on a beautiful sunny day because the hotel hosted a private arrangment, and we were not informed before arrival. We wasn't even offered a discount, to have food brought to the room, or anything in compensation.Of course one does not book a room on a hotel like this to be stuck inside a room in the middle of nowhere, so we had to pack our luggage again fix transport ourselves elsewhere without any assistance.The site looked quite beautiful though, and the staff was friendly, but the entire experience makes me not want to book here again.

    Beware of air conditioning ‘rules’

    The staff were lovely and welcoming, the bathroom was good and the room in general was nice.The main downside was that despite it being the 1st June, and 26 degrees during the day, the aircon was not ‘working’ as the hotel restricted its usage because it was ‘not in season’. They first told me it was a government local policy, then backtracked when my husband queried it. We asked for a fan but they did not have any available. It was pretty hot!(Bearing in mind that we had stayed in Milan, lake Como and Parma that same which where aircon was available in all hotels!The stairs are loud and room soundproofing is not great for when guests walked up and down the stairs late at night.The breakfast quite fairly average, but the coffee was not great. All in all, an okay stop.
