  Great ski holiday!

  Just spent a wonderful week of skiing here as a group of six adults. This hotel is absolutely great location if skiing is what your after! The poma to get to the lifts of ski area is right outside the hotel, just need to clip into skis and you are off! Wonderful ski area to explore and can pretty much ski back to the hotel too, or certainly we could the week we were here. The views from the front of the hotel are wonderful, a great place to relax after skiing, sun terrace has plenty of chairs to sit out on too. Dining area is a great space and lovely decorated in the traditional way. Food was fabulous every night, very good selection each night and different each night too, you would need to be a very fussy eater not to find something you like to eat here. Food isn’t very hot, but to be expected on a buffet. Staff are friendly and attentive, even when busy. The rooms are comfortable enough and clean. One of our rooms seemed to be smaller than the others, which was a little tight on space, but we managed none the less. Rooms were quite warm on 4th floor, so you may want to open the windows. The spa area is wonderful, great place to relax and easy enough to book in a time slot, the relaxation room is just blissful to look out at the mountains on. The walk to the town is around 1.5 miles, but there is also a free shuttle bus to get to and from town. Honestly would love to come back to this hotel some time! Really enjoyed the area for skiing and the town is really lovely for a wee wander around to.

  Good location but very poor hotel.

  I think this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. It is conveniently located for skiing etc but other than that i have little positive to say. It looks like it hasn’t been touched since 1970. The carpets in the communal areas are badly stained, the furniture is so old, marked and ugly, sofas are torn and worn badly. The breakfast is hands down the poorest i have ever experienced. The staff are friendly enough but don’t really know what they’re doing, they try but largely unsuccessfully. We sat at breakfast for an hour while spilt milk on the floor by our table was stepped over by staff and the manager. Even after an hour it had not been cleaned up. The restaurant manager walks around on his phone and does absolutely nothing useful. On the positive, the staff are friendly, the location is good and the spa is probably just above average. The spa area seems recently renovated and sauna and jacuzzi work well. The massage was very good by Chiara. All in all if you only want location and don’t care about the rest it is fine but it is an overall very poor standard indeed. It should be 2* not 4.   Nice hotel, lovely staff

  Stayed with a group of friends for a week, the hotel is ideally placed and only a short walk from the main Groste lifts, but a little too far from the main town for any Apres Ski bars. All of the hotel staff are friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Hotel whilst being lovely is a little dated, it could do with a bit of modernisation, rooms were spacious, comfortable and warm. Food was plentiful if not a little confused at times, but never left the restaurant feeling empty.Met with a lovely group from the Netherlands, for some this was their 47th return visit to the same hotel / area. Would I return, yes, but I would like to see the Hotel be brought back into the modern age.

  Very unhappy Crystal Ski customers.

  Presently staying in this hotel are two very large parties of Polish families.Parental supervision very poor to non,young children over running the hotel facilities. Police called in last night because of the unacceptable behaviour of adults following the consumption of huge amounts of alcohol.Hotel staff unable or unwilling to address this situation and provide a relaxing environment we expected and hoped for when arriving here on January 24th 2026. During your stay, the property was characterized by a high level of international occupancy, with families and groups with different habits and vacation styles. Our staff intervened several times to remind guests to respect the rules of coexistence and decorum, speaking directly with the parents and guests involved, precisely to contain situations of excessive liveliness.With regard to the presence of the police, we would like to point out that this was a routine check, not an intervention requested due to specific incidents within the hotel. In order to ensure everyone's comfort, we tried to allocate quieter areas to some guests, compatibly with the hotel's operations and the high occupancy rate during that period.We understand that the coexistence of different types of guests may not always be perceived in the same way; however, we would like to reassure you that the staff acted with care and constant presence, doing everything possible to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all guests.We thank you for your feedback, which allows us to continue to monitor and carefully manage situations of this type.
