    So friendly- Adam the bartender was a gem, In a neighborhood - out from all the tourist but close enough to walk anywhere. Breakfast was amazing!

    A couple restaurants we enjoyed very nearby and the hotel is a short walk to the Ponte Amerigo Vespucci (bridge) and is easy to get around in general by foot. The facility was nice enough but not commensurate with the cost. Beds are firm. They provided a takeaway breakfast at 7:00 am at our request. This included everyday packaged rusks, jam, apple, and if I recall correctly, water and a yogurt. Disappointing.

    Charming Boutique Hotel

    My husband and I stayed at Hotel Horto Convento for 6 nights and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. Although the hotel is located on a busy street, it was so quiet and had such a Zen like atmosphere. The grounds and common areas were very clean. The room we were in (superior king room 103) was separated from the main building and the pictures online didn't do it justice; it was much larger! The daily breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choices. I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone we encountered were all so friendly and professional; Steffano, Giovanni, Cherish, Lara and the breakfast personnel. Adam, the bartender was just wonderful. He gave us two dinner recommendations which were fantastic! If you're looking for a quaint, charming boutique hotel, Horto Convento is the place!

    I stayed here with my 20 year old daughter for four nights. Our stay was outstanding. LOVE the location of this hotel as it was a little off the beaten path and not in the madness of the crowds, yet we were able to still get to the center in 10-15 minutes by walking. The hotel has a beautiful aromatic garden. The lobby is comfortable, with a small bar that is a nice little treat after a long day of pounding the steps of Florence. The breakfasts were outstanding, fresh and lots of choices. The room was comfortable and clean. Absolutely amazing service from all staff for their thoughtfulness and caring. Shout out to Flo, Adam and Stefano - all of whom helped with their suggestions. Loved the little Osteria Stefan recommended nearby (for the locals) - went there two times. When I come back to Florence I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

    What a lovely hotel. Previously a convent there is a serene atmosphere. The rooms are all tastefully decorated with ensuite facilities (narrow) and there is a light and airy courtyard to the front and the back of the premises. The front has a nice water feature which apparently gets mistaken by some for a swimming pool! The staff are welcoming and Adam makes a mean cocktail whilst amiably telling stories or giving very good recommendations of what to see and where to eat. We stayed and went to Rome to watch the rubgy. We were very happy to return to Florence that night (not just because of the result!) but just in time for a sneaky cocktail
