    A great stay in Santa Margherita Ligure

    I booked the junior suite with spa room on their website. The room size along with the bathroom is bigger than anything I have had in Europe. The bathroom is very large with marble land large shower. The windows in the main room open to a garden view as well as a view of all the surrounding hills. The breakfast buffet is great with many typical continental offerings. The spa is absolutely amazing and you have to reserve each day as they limit the total in the spa to 4 to 5 couples. After hiking Cinque Terre for 3 days it was much needed and appreciated. This is a great place to stay for the value and right in the middle of everything to see but still quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

    I’ve given 3/5 as I like to be honest and fair and I would say 3.5 if I could give 5.- Il just list where it can be better. The breakfast is very average. It’s cheese, ham, beads, croissants, fruit. There is a hotel down the road that serves salmon, scrambled eggs and pancakes included in its hotel price and that’s like half the price of here. - Do not stay in Room 2, it is incredibly noisy if your not getting up at the crack of dawn, you can hear them getting ready for breakfast, people walking up and down the stairs next to the room and when people flush the toilet in the middle of the night it sounds like water is literally running down the room, the pipes must be built in the walls as it’s incredibly noisy.It is a lovely hotel but I do think it is a little over priced for what it offers.The upside of the hotel is:Location - you can walk to the beach and the harbour and multiple restaurants within a couple of minutes. It’s in the centre of the town so close to the shops and great coffee spots! The rooms are clean and tidy and reasonably sized. Some are bigger than others. I didn’t experience the spa as didn’t have time but weird you have to book an appointment to visit it and use the facilities. I suppose this is because it’s small. The staff are also lovely but sometimes you do have to wait a while or ask multiple times for something. It’s been a lovely stay but not sure I’d go back to the same hotel.

    Relaxing Stay with Great Service and Location

    We opted for Mediterraneo Emotional Hotel & Spa as our last destination on our Italian journey seeking rest before our journey ended and our stay fulfilled those desires. The hotel sits in a wonderful location which is a brief walk away from the harbour and features many picturesque streets to discover. The hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring Portofino which requires just a 10-minute drive. Although they were not outstanding, the spa facilities, breakfast, and rooms provided satisfactory comfort for our relaxing stay. What really stood out was the service. I reported my first night's uncomfortable sleep caused by the bed and pillows to reception upon arrival the next morning. The immediate staff response included adjustments for better comfort and I truly appreciated their effort. All staff members we encountered demonstrated professionalism along with friendliness and attentiveness. This hotel serves as a practical option for traveler’s seeking a welcoming stay in Santa Margherita Ligure while offering easy access to both the town center and Portofino.

    We stayed 3 days for a wedding in Villa Durazzo, we recommend this place!The room is small but it doesn’t matter because there is so much to do around. The hotel is charming, spa is good.The staff is very friendly and helpful. A few speak French.The only negative points are the breakfast (could be better) and that the curtains don’t block light completely

    We stayed at this hotel as a family. Wife, 10 year old son and me. The room was lovely, the location was ideal, the building is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. I have stayed in some amazing hotels around the world but the old school charm of this establishment has totally won me over. Nothing was too much trouble, when my son required a doctor the staff in reception organised everything. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will almost certainly be back.
