Location

This wonderful hotel is situated close to Genoa's harbour. The centre, with its various shopping and entertainment venues, is only a 20-minute walk from the hotel. A stop for public transport and the largest aquarium in Europe are both 100 m from the hotel.

Facility

13 junior suites, 7 suites, 7 single rooms and 113 double rooms are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Children can enjoy the playground. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning, individually adjustable heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a plug adapter, an alarm clock and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included.     The hotel location's is excellent, you only need to cross the street to be in the historic center, you have plenty of restaurant choices nearby, the metro is a short walk, and the aquarium is perhaps 200 meters away. I didn't have a bad experience, and I don't expect other hotel experiences to be much better in Genova, but the hotel is in need of a bit more maintenance & renovation. It seems very little has been done since it was officially opened many years ago. You can clearly see the wear and tear for example on the elevator buttons, or on the shower hose in the bathoom. Also the locks on the door rooms are annoyingly loud (enough to be waken up by the lock of a neighbour one night). The outside is quiet at night as the area around the hotel is reserved to guests. The breakfast was "basic", nothing bad, but you might consider a nearby bakery instead.     The hotel is top level: room, breakfast, location... but it took about 30 minutes to checkout! I almost missed my train..
