  This is an unusual property. If you look at “Ostello Bello” you’ll see the same cover photo for the hotel as for the hostel. We booked through a hotel app and I think paid more than we might have through a hostel app. The rooms are on the spartan side and for one night we had a problem with light that couldn’t be blocked out due to lack of a blackout shade. We were moved to a room without the light problem and it was better. The front desk staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our 3 days in Genoa

  Hostel not a hotel

  This is a hostel not a hotel. Very basic accommodation. Fairly Clean and spacious with an en-suite but certainly not to hotel standard. Paid for a 3 star room but stayed in nicer 1 star elsewhere. Food was nice but no access to advertised terrace. Bit of a disappointment but did the job.

  This property is no longer a hotel, it’s a youth hostel. We paid for a superior double room which looked lovely on the photo but we were given a student dorm With hospital beds. The heating was broken so the temperature of the room did not rise above 14 degrees (mid December it was freezing) and the place was packed with youngster enjoying the parties/events that are held every night so there is no lounge or bar area to relax and enjoy a drink. The hotel manager agreed to give us a refund and took our info but later that day then retracted and said no refund even though we have it in writing that they changed the booking from two nights to one night.Male night staff awful threatening behavior put us off at end.

  Never stayed in a Hostel before. Came on a two night break with Weekender holidays from the UK. Absolutely brilliant experience. Staff really helpful, rooms clean and showers powerful and hot. Great location not five minutes walk from the train station. Free drink token on arrival and breakfast included. Would totally recommend.

  Well located next to the train station. It is a hostel combined with hotel and bar. Room is OK. Parking is an issue but if you are lucky there is free parking at 8 minutes walking distance. Online rate was significantly cheaper then onsite rate and they are not able to match the rate, so you are advised to book online even if you are already onsite. Breakfast is continental but there are plenty of food options next to the property.
