    Really awful food. Don’t bother eating hear, all like supermarket microwaved food.the lasagne was a frozen re heated lasagne, the waiter confirmed this. Villa Argentieri, Proprietario at Hotel La Villa degli Argentieri, responded to this review Sorry but if you just eat Lasagna, why you have to tell that everithing is frozen?Tomato sauce, pesto, and ragu for the pasta are all homemade, and the only frozen pasta is the lasagna, as specified on the menu. For this reason the waitress confirmed it because it's not a secret.

    Unpleasant experience in hotel restaurant

    We used only restaurant. The waitress, which served us, was really impolite and rude. We made also an oral complaint but they did not care, it was treated nit good and we felt like some lower value customers, The food was below average for Italy (pizza) Villa Argentieri, Proprietario at Hotel La Villa degli Argentieri, responded to this review We are really sorry if you felt mistreated. We hope to have you back with us to make up for it.

    Beware of third party bookings.

    We booked with booking.com and arrived to discover that in fact they had gone through a third party. This third party charged us for a Seaview room with balcony, but in fact booked an inferior room with the hotel. Who pockets the extra A$358? Not us, not the hotel, but the third party! Contacted Booking.com “support” who said they could do nothing and hung up. This third party booking is a scam! Beware! The hotel owner could not have been more helpful and although out of pocket, has given us the Seaview room for part of our stay. Please book directly with the hotel. Staff are wonderful, location is great, rooms clean, aircon is good.

    Excellent location. That’s it. Restaurant downstairs very noisy… not the customers but from the staff loading dishwashers and banging and clashing about at 10pm at night. Room very basicMonterosso in general very expensive Limited beach area unless you want to pay 20€ per sunbed per day. Roof Terrace was not set up as per the photos online you had to get your buffet breakfast and just take it upstairs to sit on the terrace yourself. Purtroppo a volte non è facile fare poco rumore con i macchinari del bar. Non possiamo però giustificarci per i prezzi delle spiagge. Se pensava che fosse troppo caro doveva indirizzare le sue vacanze altrove. Monterosso è in media con le altre località turistiche.La nostra terrazza è il nostro punto forte, se abbiamo deciso di lasciare che i clienti ne usufruissero in maniera esclusiva era semplicemente per lasciare più libertà. Ci spiace davvero che non l'abbia apprezzato.Ci auguriamo comunque che torni a trovarci.We are sorry that you had a bad experience. Unfortunately, sometimes it is not easy to make little noise with the bar machinery. However, we cannot justify ourselves for the prices of the beaches. If you thought it was too expensive, you should have directed your holidays elsewhere. Monterosso is in line with other tourist resorts prices. Our terrace is our strong point, if we decided to let customers use it exclusively it was simply to leave more freedom. We are truly sorry that you did not appreciate it. We hope that you will come back to visit us anyway.

    The location of the hotel was great. The rooms were modest but fine. Food was fine. When we arrived, one of our two rooms was very hot and the air conditioning was broken which forced us to cram into one room. The next day the air conditioning was fixed. When we checked out, we requested that the room with the broken air conditioning be comped or discounted however, the response from the hotel was “you can just open a window for cool air” instead of taking care of the customers request and ended up charging us full price for the room. The staff was short and abrupt when responding to our requests with the ac. If you want a great location right on the beach, this is the place for you but take into consideration the staff accommodating the customers because we didn’t feel that they took care of us to the best of their ability.
