We recently stayed at Hotel Palme for 5 days and we enjoyed our stay immensely. All the staff were really friendly, welcoming and so helpful. Alessia in particular gave us great advice with regard to hikes and boat trips and navigating our holiday around train strikes, while Emma made sure we had everything we needed .Location was perfect, just a few minutes from the beach and main strip , just 5 mins level walk from train station, yet far away enough for peace and quietRooms were spotless and serviced daily, breakfast buffet offered fresh food and great variety to cater for many tastes.Fantastic service all round. We would highly recommend Hotel Palme for anyone thinking of going to Monterosso al Mare/Cinque Terre National Park.

Beautiful short stay holiday

Most helpful staff I’ve ever come across in a hotel nothing was too much trouble. I had left my rucksack on platform at pisa station and Alissia the receptionist tracked it down and I managed to recover it on return leg of journey.the location is excellent for exploring and really nice beach nearby, along with trail hikes through the surrounding hills and vineyards.best of both worlds holiday.

Just metres from the public swim beach near the cliff top Statue, this Hotel is not on the waterfront but perfectly placed in a side street away from the madding crowds. You can stroll to all the cafes, bars and restaurants or just drink in the atmosphere of Monterosso. Just a couple of blocks to the Rail Station and the Old Town. Rooms were fine and there is a lift. Breakfast was very good with everything to suit all tastes. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English, particularly Emma and Alessia. They went over and above to make our stay very enjoyable. Thank you

Underwhelmed…not a 4-star establishment

This place is clean and has convenient proximity to the shore and many restaurants in Monterosso. But it is not a 4-star hotel, likely a 3-star. Maybe it was at some point using 1960-1970’s standards but not today. Beds were twin sized and adjoined by a fitted sheet, TV was smaller than a computer monitor and had no iron inside the room. The mini fridge was only big enough to hold 2 small water bottles. Breakfast was continental, with an option for toast or eggs as the only hot offerings. Bathroom was small, with only a shower. But, its saving grace was the stunning location near the beach and its friendly staff.

Spent 4 days at this hotel and found it quite good , rooms a good size some with balconies , ten minute walk from train station and two minute walk to closest beach , Car parking available on site and large dining area with large front area as an alternative space for dining , rooms serviced each day and breakfast served as well , staff excellent.
