    Marta saved our vacation!!

    Marta saved the day!! Somehow, I got my dates mixed up and we arrived at Palazzo Busdraghi 2 days early - and of course they were booked. Marta was so gracious, she offered us an apartment they keep just around the corner, and for the same cost. It was perfect, nice second floor space on a side street - very quiet. Bed was good, we slept great. Marta breakfast we excellent. We will stay here again when we return to Lucca.

    Great location . Character accommodation. We had a deluxe room which was very comfortable. Nice breakfast and Martha and Ingrid were the friendliest and most helpful hosts that you could hope for . Great value and perfect for a weekend break in beautiful Lucca

    What a charming hotel. Located in the heart of the Centro Storico of Lucca. The hotel was atmospheric with staff that soon became friends. The accomdation / breakfast / service was amazing. And the view of the street from our window was special - it was the run up to Christmas and the traditional processions that came by the front door were amazing. The hotel is a great base to explore the old town and take a stroll on the city walls. We will be back (infact we would have been back already, but alas it was closed in Janaury!). By the way, at first sight access by car looks daunting, but it's not. It is possible to unload almost outside the hotel, and parking is about 2 minutes walk away and secure, and so no dramas.

    Great stay in the perfect location for a week in the heart of Lucca. Beautiful characterful palazzo building. Marta and Ingrid are friendly and helpful hosts while remaining unobtrusive. Breakfast is very good Italian fare - just don't expect a hot cooked breakfast in the Irish or British style. Our room and bathroom were grand, with a very comfortable bed and good shower. No noise problem whatsoever. All in all a great experience at a very reasonable price.     We have just returned home following a wonderful week spent in Palazzo Busdraghi and wishing we were still there. Marta and Ingrid were delightful and superb hosts - nothing too much trouble. Rooms immaculate, breakfasts delicious, perfect location for discovering Lucca which did not disappoint. We would happily return tomorrow.
