    Great stay in a high quality hotel with friendly staff, good service and in a calm setting.

    We enjoyed our stay in this boutique hotel. The location is excellent, nearby St. Michael square and the Puccini Museum, yet still on a quiet street. Upon entrance, we were welcomed by very friendly staff. They seem to be staffing the front desk alone, yet they still guide you to your room. In our case, we stayed in a junior suite, which is very spacious and suits a family of three perfectly. Quality finishings. throughout the room and hotel.Modern bathroom, including bidet, spacious walk-in (rain)shower.Large bed which is firm yet comfortable, and the sofabed was comfortable too.Able to open multiple windows, looking at inner courtyard, and a well functioning AC in case needed.Two flat screen TVs, one in the seating area and the other in the bedroom. Note that the bedroom is technically not fully separated, instead there is a solid room divider. No doors. The room includes a minibar, and offers some free water (flat and sparkling) upon arrival. We wished this water would be replenished each day, but that did not happen. There is free water offered downstairs though, including cantucci.There is opportunity to make tea and coffee in the room. Surprising to see this is soluble coffee: I would definitely recommend changing that. As such, we rather had coffee downstairs which was excellent. Just in case needed: there is an ironing service and if you wish to do so yourself the staff will bring you the ironing board and ironer. The ironing board is a bit flimsy but the job gets done. Breakfast was served between 7:30 - 10:30am. While there would not be the largest selection, it was all (very) good quality. Attentive service, even if alone, and they would remember our coffee/tea preferences for the next day. My only suggestion for improvement here is to offer freshly squeezed orange juice instead of from a container as you can clearly taste the difference. As said, the front desk was very friendly. They helped us arranging private transportation from and to the nearby airport. I also saw them making multiple dinner reservations for other guests. Note that this hotel does not have a gym nor swimming pool, which was fine in our case but we can imagine other preferences. Overall a great stay in a high quality hotel with friendly staff, good service and in a calm setting.

    Lovely hotel in great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi for us to attend Leo’s restaurant outside of the walls . Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, the pastries were beautiful. Couldn’t fault the hotel and looking forward to returning next year.

    The fantastic reviews on TA are spot on, we really enjoyed our stay here. Huge, immaculately clean bedroom, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Chef made scrambled eggs without butter just for me, which was really appreciated. Perfect, quiet location, but walkable to all the sights in beautiful Lucca. Parking in the basement was welcome.We will be back, thank you!

    This is the third time I have stayed in this hotel and what a gem it really is. Perfectly located within the walls - pretty much in the centre of everything.Rooms are clean / modern / upmarket functional. Nothing else needed as far as bedroom is concerned. Breakfast also excellent- simple food at its best Italian style. No swimming pools here but just a really good place to stay. Special thanks to some very helpful staff!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our four day break. Everyone was so helpful and the hotel was well managed. The decor is elegant, understated and stylish. The hotel is central and quiet. The breakfast was excellent: the person in charge remembered our preferences each day. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the whole team.
