    Very enjoyable couple of days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable.Have a relative in Lucca, have stayed here before and likely to stay again next time.

    We have stayed here on many occasions since our first stay in 2012. It has always been our 'go to' hotel in Lucca, well located, very comfortable & superb staff. However, after this stay, we feel that it has lost some of its charm, the bathrooms areas are in need of an upgrade and some of the night staff really should be more welcoming and helpful. You were definitely left with a feeling that you were being an inconvenience if you wanted to use the bar. In the past, one of the very best aspects of the hotel has been the waiting staff, who were always welcoming and really couldn't do enough for you. For us, there are still a couple of the long serving staff that maintain the service levels and ethos that we have experienced previously, and continue to uphold what you expect for this standard (and price) of hotel.

    Needn’t have worried about where/how to park. SLP’s small car park is located almost next to Porta Sant’Anna and a lovely member of staff talked me through directions (you do need to reserve a space - cost is €20 but it’s worth it). Lovely hotel and an excellent location from which to explore the city and walk the walls. Via Paolina itself is pretty good for restaurants and gelato.We got a very good room rate online which included a fantastic breakfast, and overall outstanding and friendly service.
