A delightful well kept lodging. People are lovely as well. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Breakfast is pretty typical. Excellent Cappuccino with alternative dairy milk. No complaints.

A Memorable Short Holiday

Lucca old town is a wonderful city - such history, so much to see, so many museums, churches, wonderful restaurants - and this hotel couldn’t be better situated in the heart of it all. The room we stayed in was an adequate size with modern bathroom on the second floor (unfortunately no lift) and was just perfect for a four day stay - exceptionally clean with maid service every day if required. Breakfast was a buffet continental type - lots of choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, breads, conserves and wonderful pastries (not a hot cooked breakfast). The staff were all, without exception, welcoming, friendly, helpful and spoke English - nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately, roadworks were taking place just outside which was a bit noisy but, as we were out sight-seeing during the day, didn’t really bother us.If you are looking to stay for a few days in Lucca - look no further than the Albergo San Martino - we had three comfortable nights and such good value.

A lovely trditional albergo right in the centre of Lucca just a minute or two wlk from the cathedral. Access is a little awkward as there is no parking at the door. If you are lucky, you can stop for a minute to drop bags. Parking is avilable is reserved spaces in a car park nearby. Reception vcan give you the access key and direct you.inside, if is lovely and welcoming. Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. it is quiet ovenight, Breakfast was excellent, wit a great choce of items.

Me and my wife had an excellent time at this hotel. We were very well looked after, being offered a complementary drink as soon as we arrived, which was unexpected and lovely. The room was really well furnished and comfortable and the hotel is well situated for Lucca's main attractions while also being close to the train station. Bravo Nicola & team. When we are next in Lucca we will stay again!
