Located on the top floor of the famous volcano in Sesto San Giovanni, the hotel is 3 km from the city centre, near the A25 and A4 motorway exits.     1/5 stars – Big mistakeWe saw the bad reviews before arriving and still decided to give this hotel a chance – big mistake.The room was in an unacceptable condition: no working shower (water wouldn’t drain, no shower head), partly no light, and no cleanliness at all. The bed sheets were clearly not changed and were even put back on the bed from the floor – absolutely disgusting. The floor was dirty, with hair from what felt like dozens of previous guests.When we complained, we were simply told that the director was not there and nothing could be done.Overall: a room without a usable shower, without proper lighting, and without basic hygiene. Completely unacceptable.Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else – it’s not worth the trouble.

    Don't go if you are not going by car

    No kettle on room. You pay money at restaurant to get one cup of hot water. Absolutely no normal direct access to hotel if you are coming by a bus. You need to haul luggage through a shopping mall then go 2 floors up then walk on the tarmac for about 200 nti reach the reception area then onwards to room. No bathroom slippers

    I stayed at Hotel Grande Duca di Mantova in April 2025 and had a truly disappointing experience. The hotel does not deserve its 4-star rating:No gym or pool.The fridge in the room wasn’t working.Rooms are small, poorly furnished, and lack balconies.Hygiene standards were below expectations.The hotel is located more than 20 kilometers away from Milan city center, with limited public transport options.There was no minibar price list, no electronic tracking of minibar consumption, and yet the receptionist charged us €10 for unopened water bottles without issuing any receipt.Worse still, when I submitted two formal complaints to management, they ignored both.As a legal professional and frequent traveler, I can confidently say this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve encountered.Avoid this hotel completely. It fails in both service and quality.

    None of the workers helped us out, as a matter of fact they did not stayed at the balcony and were not watching the front door which means anybody could've robbed the bag when we were carrying them to check out, they also refused to check the security cameras and were very rude about it, the breackfast was terrible, tasteless and the coffee machine didn't work, the access to the hotel is not easy, we did in fact got lost trying to get there and walked +2 kmNever would recommend it

    Don’t bother, hotel is worn out and fixtures are broken. Most things don’t work and some staff are extremely rude. Day Manager acts like Basil Faulty.Had problem with fridge not working. Tv not working. Rod attached to bed head fell off and hit me in the head. Shower flooded bathroom floor. Air conditioning didn’t work
