    We stayed 2 nights to visit the opera. Duomo Hotel is just 5 minutes walk away and also very close to the cathedral so a great location. It's clean, modern and friendly.

    I stayed at Duomo Hotel & Apartments Milano in February 2026 for 12 nights during the Winter Olympics. I selected this hotel because it had mostly positive online reviews, opened up my travel dates for reservations long before other hotels I was researching, and is located very close to the Duomo with easy access to other parts of Milan via the Metro. Leading up to my stay, the front desk staff was very responsive to any questions I asked them via email. They provided thorough answers in a timely fashion without a language barrier. The guest rooms are very spacious with tons of drawers and closet space for storage. My room also had a kitchenette, which includes a sink, cooktop, microwave, and mini-fridge with freezer. I also had a nice size table/desk. I traveled with my service dog and the hotel generously provided him with bowls and a dog bed. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and the water gets nice and hot. The towels are on a towel warmer, so it was like getting a warm hug every time I stepped out of the shower. The safe in the closet kept my valuables protected. I get hot very easily and need my room cool. I was unable to turn the AC on, but I turned the heat off and cracked the window open while I was in the room to cool it down to my desired temperature. The window only opens a little bit at the top on a slant, so I felt safe that no one could climb in from the street. Milan is a city, so you do hear cars and people passing by, street sweepers, and garbage trucks, but I did not find it disturbing. The TV has several stations to choose from and also the option to log in to streaming providers such as Netflix. On my first or second night, my toilet stopped flushing, but the gentleman who works the overnight front desk shift kindly fixed it right away. Whenever I left or came back, the front desk always greeted me and my dog. They are all fluent in English and provided great recommendations on places to eat and sights to see, as well as help navigating the public transportation system.

    This hotel has seen better days. The hallways are in really rough shape. The walls are paper thin and even normal level conversations can be easily heard from your neighbors. When we got up in the morning there was a bug in the bed with us. This might be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
