    Great hotel for visiting both, Milan and Como

    I wonder if the negative reviewers below stayed in the same hotel we did???Hotel Parco Borromeo is located between, around halfway from both Milan and Como, in a small town of Cesano Maderno. Saying that, it's a perfect base for exploring both cities (if you're with a car), and prices are significantly lower (we got a rate of 110 Euros a night for 3 people including breakfast, 2 months in advance).Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood in a big castle/monastery like edifice.Check in was fast with kind receptionists, and our room looked renovated and clean, as well spacious for 3 of us plus our pet.They have paying private parking (5 or 10 Euros cannot remember), but right in front is a public parking, overnight free until I think 8.30 AM.Breakfast was hearty and varied.

    nice hotel, very simple. huge advantage is the AC in the room. fast WiFi . all other facilities are the most simple. shower is very small need to uograde some things. vert good local restaurants ( real local people) . If needed will certainly come back

    I had an absolutely dreadful experience at this hotel! The staff was by far the rudest and most incompetent (definitely the blonde man during the morning) I've ever encountered. Despite booking 5 rooms 6 months in advance, upon arrival, two rooms were mysteriously unavailable. It took us hours to get them to even attempt to find a solution, and we had to come up with ideas ourselves.In the end, one couple had to sleep in a room without electricity for a night, while the other had to stay at a hotel 30 minutes away. Although we didn't have to pay for these mistakes, it was an infuriating ordeal. The next nights, everyone finally got their rooms, but the damage was already done.And let's talk about breakfast – the bread was so hard, you could use it as a weapon! On top of that, no one bothered to refill anything, leaving everyone unsatisfied.This hotel clearly lacks basic hospitality and customer service skills. I cannot stress enough how disappointed and frustrated we were with the entire stay. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you enjoy dealing with rude staff, booking mistakes, and bad breakfast. It was an absolute nightmare!

    We stayed in this hotel as part of our tour that began in Melan. Our room was so small that we could hardly pass each other. The air conditioning was out of order so opening the window was the only option. This would have kept us a little cooler except that a group of teens/young adults gathered in the courtyard and made so much noise we had to close the windows. Thus, we were very uncomfortable with the heat. The restaurant was good but not great. This hotel also needs some TLC. The grounds are really pretty and could be beautiful with a little care. The same goes for the hotel. The fact that it was once a castle could be a draw for guests but they need to put some money and work into bringing up to the standards that travelers expect.

    A wonderful little haven when you need peace and somewhere special. The staff was really helpful and Claudio, the maitre d was awesome and very friendly. The food at the restaurant was super nice too.
