wonderful family run hotel close to The Four Seasons

    rating16 Apr 2026

Hotel Manzoni is located on a very quiet street in the heart of the major shopping district in Milan. The hotel and the rooms are spotless. The staff are very helpful in arranging restaurant reservations and providing advice on activities. The Duomo is a 10 minute walk. The hotel serves breakfast and also has a small bar area, including an outside patio. This was a return visit for us and we continue to be very impressed with the Hotel. Giulio Marcucci, Direttore generale at Hotel Manzoni, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you so much, feedbacks as yours represent a big satisfaction for the whole staff and, at the same time, give us a strong motivation to do always better. We wish you all the best and looking forward to welcome you here again. Our best regards!Hotel Manzoni MilanoGuest Relations ManagerDavide Nazionale

    Mixed Feelings About Hotel Manzoni

    rating15 Apr 2026

We stayed at Hotel Manzoni during a family reunion and found it to be a typical four-star hotel with Italian style. While it met many standards, my stay had its ups and downs. The room was a bit dark but clean, and the service was generally good. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options, though at €33 per person, it felt a bit pricey. We faced some issues with staff friendliness, particularly when a family member was denied access to our room without his passport. Additionally, due to a last-minute flight change, we arrived early in the morning, but the only option was to book another night to access our room before check-in.On the positive side, the hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to Milan's main landmarks and situated in a pleasant shopping district. Overall, while the hotel has its charms, I likely won’t return based on my experience. Giulio Marcucci, Direttore generale at Hotel Manzoni, responded to this review Dear Guest,We are sorry to hear that Hotel Manzoni did not meet your expectations.Regarding the breakfast prices, we assure you that they are fully in line with those of other hotels in the same category in downtown Milan; we are sorry that you did not like our offer.Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate early check-in since check-out is scheduled for noon, and we need time to clean the room. If we had had rooms available, we would have given you access to the room, which is why we recommend booking the night before to ensure early check-in.As for the other issues you encountered, we would have appreciated it if you had mentioned them to us during your stay, as we would certainly have found a solution.Best regardsHotel Manzoni MilanoGuest Relations ManagerDavide Nazionale

Cute boutique hotel in the heart of the fashion district

    rating20 Sept 2025

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Manzoni. The property is in the heart of Milan’s fashion district—step outside and you’re surrounded by Zimmerman, Valentino, Goyard, Hermès, and all the major fashion houses. The hotel itself is impeccable: super clean, with beautiful Italian marble, wonderful staff, and excellent service. It’s also in walking distance to Michelin-rated restaurants, Brera, and the Duomo, which made exploring the city very convenient. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because our room was very small, we had some electrical issues, and the soundproofing was poor—we could clearly hear showers, toilets, and hallway noise from other rooms. If you’re looking for a chic boutique-style hotel without too many frills, you’ll likely appreciate it. We paid close to $600 per night in mid-September, so whether it feels worth it will depend on what you value most in your stay. Giulio Marcucci, Direttore generale at Hotel Manzoni, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you so much for your nice feedback, your words give us a strong motivation to keep improving every day.Looking forward to welcome you here again, we wish you all the best!Hotel Manzoni MilanoGuest RelationDavide

    rating20 Jul 2025

I'm at a loss for words to describe how disappointed I was with my stay from July 4th to 7th, 2025. A stay that I had been looking forward to for months. However, I want to preface my review by commenting on the staff who were nothing short of amazing. Whether it was the doorman, the staff in the breakfast room, the bar, or reception. Every single staff member was an absolute delight to deal with and a true professional.I booked a classic double room which cost 470 euro a night which when converted cost me $837.00 per night which is a lot of money.Sadly, the room (202) booked under Livingston that was allocated to my husband and me was tired, which at that price is just not OK.1. The curtains in the room had not been made properly and light entered the room from the bottom of the curtains and also from the top of the curtains. This is an absolute no no for me. I have to have a dark room and for a hotel of that standard not to have 100% block out blinds is unacceptable.Blackout curtains or blinds that ensure a completely dark room are a standard feature in luxury hotels (4–5 stars), especially at €470/night. Proper window treatments are essential, particularly for those sensitive to light like me. This oversight reflects poor attention to detail or outdated room design. Industry standards as seen in reviews of high-end hotels on other platforms, emphasise blackout capabilities as a basic expectation in this price range.2. All of the marble in the bathroom was etched, and the basin had a large chip out of it.3. The exhaust fans in the bathroom were not working. So every time you had a shower, the room was completely fogged up and you couldn't see a thing. We reported this to the front reception. They sent someone up to have a look, and that person was going to contact maintenance. Nothing ever happened.4. It's hard to believe, but the toilet lid was not soft-close. Needless to say, what the outcome was, especially at night and also when you have been living with soft-close toilet lids for over 20 years.5. The noise that we could hear from our room during the night was just completely unacceptable. You could hear:Toilets flushingPeople walkingChairs being dragged across the floorThe noise from outside your room was so loud you would swear they were inside your room.I so wanted to love this hotel but i didn't. NO ONE should have to stay in a room that is tired. Hotel Manzoni needs to have ongoing maintenance of all rooms.

Unbeatable for discretion and privacy in the heart of the fashion district

    rating16 Jul 2025

If you're looking for luxurious accommodation with discretion and privacy bang in the middle of the fashion district (Quadrilatero della moda), this is the place. Having stayed at almost all the top five star hotels in Milan, this small hotel beats them all. You feel like it's your home, being greeted warmly by the wonderful staff throughout the hotel, snacking or having a meal at any time of the day in the bar area, all the while in hushed and uncrowded and extremely elegant surroundings. The rooms, though not huge, are perfect in every way - in decor and amenities and cleanliness. Excellent air conditioning throughout the hotel (including the corridors) makes it a haven to return to after a day's shopping/activities. In fact, it made me happy every time when stepping through the front doors, which cannot be said about most other hotels.
