    We stayed at this hotel in Abano Terme for a weekend (Saturday and Sunday), unfortunately experience overall not satisfactory.The structure appears dated and poorly maintained. There is a clear need for general restructuring. The room was old, but all in all clean; however, to be fussy, there are several elements that should be fixed: rusty railing, dated window, rusty bathroom radiator, chipped wardrobe and walls in some dirty spots. Overall, the room was definitely worth reviewing.Only really positive aspect of the staff: the cleaning women, the two girls at the reception and the waitress proved to be kind and helpful. For the rest, unfortunately, we found little kindness and a sometimes cold and almost opinionated attitude.The pool area is average: you can feel the veustity of the structure, even if the water had a good temperature and the whirlpool was pleasant. However, the sunbeds are too crowded both inside and outside, reducing comfort.A negative episode was that of the pool: on Sunday morning, ready to access it, we were informed only at the last moment by a waitress that it was closed for maintenance. Nobody warned us in advance. We were then proposed to use the pools of another facility a short distance away (probably of the same property), an acceptable solution, but communication was mismanaged and the closing sign was only displayed mid-morning.Regarding the catering, we had four meals (two lunches, one dinner and one breakfast). The overall quality was just enough: some things good, others decidedly less satisfactory.Finally, the taxi episode concerns a service that was requested directly by us at the hotel reception. We were given a fare of about 12–13 euros for the Abano–Montegrotto route, but on arrival we were charged a higher amount plus luggage surcharge.I also noticed that on one side of the structure the fixtures seemed to have recently been replaced, a sign that a gradual renovation is probably underway. However, in a hotel it is not only this that makes the difference: you need a comprehensive care of all aspects, from reception to services, to general maintenance.In summary, not positive experience.     Wonderful, quirky and charming hotel with a great spa thermal pool and good location.

    We read some bad reviews just before we left England, which were very unfair. The hotel is a bit dated, but that gives it a unique charm, much like going back in time. The hotel is definitely quirky, but we loved it. We booked as a base to explore Padova and it was perfect for that. We were pleasantly surprised because we absolutely loved Abano too. The train station is a good 30-minute walk from the hotel but buses stop nearby. The Sanctuary Madonna in Abano is well worth the 30-minute walk. Breakfast was good and the spa thermal pool was just wonderful, perfect after exploring Padova and Abano. Our rooms were very spacious, well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a bath and a shower in the huge bathroom. The only negatives were lack of communication before our visit (I emailed 3 times but no reply), our door was difficult to lock, the air-conditioning didnt work and the hotel bar didn't sell Aperol (but we didn't complain). The lovely receptionist booked us a taxi to the airport for our return home. Everyone in Abano is very friendly. We loved the town and would definitely go back. We ate and drank in Padova and Abano and everything was amazing and not expensive at all. Padova is a stunning City, well worth a visit. Abano is immaculately clean and a really lovely Italian town. Thank you hotel Al Sole Terme for a wonderful stay.

    After long time one of worst hotel I ever been. If you select single bedroom better you don't have clastrophobia 😦😲If you spread hands you can touch wall from one side to other. Also all guests higher then 180cm/5.9ft good luck with sleeping. Bed's are kinda short. So next issue-bathroom. Picture is below. Do they really expect that people will use this shower? Curtain was filthy, pipe where is curtain was rusty, tiles on the ground full of limescale. Couldn't turn off AC, nowhere to find remote control and switch on the wall of course wasn't working...🙄 Morning pressure was again me. Some awfull smell like from the sewer from drain in bathroom. Breakfast it's self-service. Fruit it's fresh. But everything else 🤕🤢. Bread old, cheese was having dry edges. Almost forgot...there was 1 positive thing. Sheets was clean.

    Nice simple and cheap hotel !really nice for couple or business with really nice bar and termal pool ,and the rooms have everything u need and clean also have big larking place.One of best things its near the central city so it just fun to walk around near and enjoy the cute city
