  An overrated disappontment.

  We tried to like this hotel, but it fell short on many levels. At the end of our stay, we felt it was an overpriced tourist trap. Yes, the view of the Adriatic is spectacular, but everything else about the hotel, its location, and the silly overpriced restaurants, is all about the views, and nothing else. Breakfast is NOT included (which is absurd, given that every other 5-star-rated hotel provides a buffet breakfast). There is no tour of the hotel amenities, because there are none to speak of. You go to your state-of-the-art room, admire the bells and whistles, and then wonder why you chose to stay in such a sterile environment. On a scale of 1-10 ten being the best, we sadly must give it a 3. This hotel is all about making money and not ensuring customer satisfaction.-

  Would have been a five star review, but poor Air Conditioning was a problem!

  My husband and I stayed here from July 6 - 11, 2025. I booked us a suite, on the second floor. The room was beautiful!! Very spacious room, king bed, and had beautiful outdoor space with two sun lounges, and sitting chairs, facing the sea. The bathroom was exquisite. Huge walk in shower, double sinks and Bulgari soaps and body lotions. The problem was the air conditioning. During our first night, the temperature never dropped below 28.8 C. That’s WAY too hot (and humid) for me. We were not able to sleep. I believe this suite was 1,200 Euros per night.We spoke to the manager the next morning and was told there is a “known” problem and they would move us to another room. The new room was on the ground level, non descript with no outdoor space. The bathroom was 1/2 the size of the first room. The A/C in this room rarely went below 25.5, which was still far too warm to our liking for sleeping.The hotel manager did offer us an accommodation to charge us only 900 euro per night, including the rate for the first night in the suite. Also, at check out, the manager waived the incidentals that we charged to the room (some cocktails, lunch at the beach one day, etc.). We appreciated the accommodation, but felt it could have been more, but we simply said “thank you”.To put this in perspective, the region was at the end of a very oppressive heat wave, but I would forewarn people booking this or any hotel for that matter, if there have been any issues with air conditioning at the property. This review would have been five stars had it not been for the very hot, sticky, difficult to sleep nights.

  I was expecting to have booked at the Grotta Palazzese but found myself booked at their beach hotel which was actually not a bad thing since their beach is very pleasant.we enjoyed the beach for the afternoon.staff is very pleasant transfer service to their restaurant a bit scary since the driver probably thought he was a F1 driver.. but we got there and back in one piece

  Lovely boutique hotel with stunning sea views!

  Stayed here for our anniversary and from the minute we arrived, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from reception (thank you Carmen).Views over the Adriatic from the restaurant are stunning and the food is top quality!Breakfast is very well presented and this is the perfect place to come and chill for 2-3 days!Big thank you to the beach guys who took care of us, so friendly as were the breakfast staff and I must praise Nicola who was so warm and attentive and made our stay very memorable and who also advised us to change our booking time at the Grotto restaurant so that we could capture the sunset which was truly magical!Mickey

  Amazing hotel bad flexibility

  This was one of my favorite hotels in the world. Amazing breakfast, perfect private beach, beautiful, quiet, very private. Staff is nice experience is really good. But only for couples. I came here with my husband in 2022 and loved. We came back this year with the whole family, I got 3 bedrooms since they don’t have family bedrooms. For 5 days I’m spending around 13 thousand euros and still they don’t allow to use the 2 front rolls of chairs by the beach. They say it’s for the suites. It stays the whole day empty. (Picture attach took picture 1pm) They have 12 pairs of chairs and umbrella and cannot acomoda-te 1 pair for someone who is spending $13k in 5 days. No flexibility for costumers who come back. Looking for another hotel for next year since we come to Puglia every year.
