  Bright clean modern hotel , great base for exploring

  We stayed at marelive and the end of may so although the area was a little quiet as it was just off season, we got more access to the area and the hotel.The rooms were lovely and light, very clean and having direct access to the pool was wonderful.The hotel is great as a base to explore the surrounding area or to spend time in as a pool day!.Breakfasts were excellent, especially the pasticciotti and the coffee😙🤌 We only ate dinner one night but we're very impressed with the meal , 4 courses for 35euro was very reasonable and delicious.All the staff were really attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The downsides are more to do with the time of year we visited, the neighbouring areas of Sant Andrea and Torre dell orso were not particularly lively, although this changed as the weekend arrived, Otranto however was very busy and only a 20 min drive away

  What a gem . We had the most wonderful holiday here. The staff are so attentive and welcoming. The food is so fresh and its all local cuisine. Sabina in the restaurant made our holiday special we felt like her best friends. She advised us on local towns to visit such as San Foca the beach there was amazing Sabina was always welcoming with friendly smile even when she was busy. Thankyou. Thetes a little opentop bus that takes you around and its free . The driver was so much fun . The receptionist organised a car hire for us at a competitive rate. We recommend a car hire . We visited so many beautiful places. Thanks to you all we will be returning .   Nice clean and modern rooms, can’t fault that, and the pool area is nice. Good size outdoor space with table and chairs and clothes airer.Nice wecome in reception when we arrived, but that is all the positives.The snack bar menu only served for a limited time st lunch. The food was terrible. No more than 1 star quality.The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful.Music blaring from the pool bar with guest singing loudly and dancing which was encouraged by the bar staff.Not all of us want to listen to blaring music while relaxing round the poolThe mini bar in the room was empty bar one bottle of water between 2?.3 eros to get your pool towel washed.Then we came to dinner. What a disaster and a complete rip off at €30 each.We did not want to hop back in the car so decided to have it.Disgusting. the salad bar was a bowl of chopped bitter tomatoes, corn and iceberg lettuce, one of the pastas was like eating a can of spaghetti hoops.The main meal of tempura cod was slightly better, although the sauce way to rich.Puddings were. ot geat. Ice cream had bits of ice in it.All in all really bad, and the waiters not nice.The woman behind the pool bar was really sharp too.   One of the best hotels in south Puglia

  This was my second time staying here and I think it’s one of the best options in south Puglia. It’s clean, good location, big pool, good parking, nice staff, good breakfast etc. My only feedback is that the pool needs a good clean, the bottom looks dirty/broken. Also, the prices in the pool bar are too expensive compared to what you get. We ordered some drinks and they were all really bad, the mojito costs 9€ and is basically just a shot of alcohol and ice. If you order Prosecco you’ll get 1/4 of a plastic cup. We also tried some food from the snack menu, like burgers & fries for 15€ which arrived cold and wasn’t good.

  Honest review ....Amazing rooms spacious and modern.Pool very little sun shade and umbrellas. But OK.Our first day we experienced loud music from the bar. The second day was much better. Maybe someone had complained.The staff are stretched which is obvious. They do not appear happy of which I am not suprised about.I didn't eat here but hearing people's comments around the hotel I am pleased we haven't. Guests had ordered food and it came after one hour of waiting and then when it arrived it was cold.What we experienced was a dirty bar and tables covered in wasted food.My main concern on this trip was the life guard would rather help behind the bar than do her job which is rather worrying. Thankfully we are touring and only stayed 3 nights.Another issue we had was I requested anIron the receptionist proudly announced that they didn't have any and also went on to say and we don't even have laundry facilities.I asked concierge if we could purchase an iron of which directions were given.I would recommend staying at another hotel until they change things.Sorry CDS. But you need to improve ... definitely not worthy of the 4 stars.
