Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers, active holidaymakers, young people and nature lovers, this hotel is situated in a quiet area in Polignano a Mare, right by the sea.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2023. The resort has a lift and features 168 suites and 23 double rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided to guests. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service (for a fee). Bicycle storage is also available. A business centre with projector and a flip chart and pens is available. The congress service offers support with all aspects of event organisation. Lectures, presentations and meetings can be held in one of the 2 conference rooms.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds can be provided at no extra charge upon request. There is also a safe and a desk or, for an additional fee, a minibar. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A telephone, a TV and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bidet. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. The resort has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex provides invigorating refreshment. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles (no extra charge), and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, volleyball, basketball and jogging. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. Various wellness options, such as a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, anti-ageing treatments, Ayurveda treatments, aromatherapy, cellulite treatment and a hydrojet massage, are offered for a fee. A kids' club and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a bar and a piano bar. Guests can enjoy dining in the cosy atmosphere of the 2 restaurants (à la carte and air conditioning available). Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. A delicious and varied buffet is freshly prepared at breakfast and dinner, and a set menu can be ordered at lunch. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. Baby food (on request) provides for little ones' well being. In addition, picnics and snacks are available. For a fee, there are also non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.

    The whole holiday at Pietrablu was wonderful. The rooms were immaculate, pool and beach gorgeous and the food amazing. But as always it was the staff who made it for us especially in the restaurant and the bar. To name a few: Antonella, Enzo, Jenny, Beti, Saira and Agostino, Mercy, Gaetano. Thank you to everyone at Pietrablu!

    Went here in April as a base for our trip with Great Rail Journeys. There were other large groups there and I felt a little sorry for the independent travellers who might be a little overwhelmed by the large groups. However we had the same tables each night. We found the food on the whole good. Breakfasts lots of choice, with cooking stations, cooking to order. Pancakes, omelettes and fried eggs. Dinner again you had special dishes being cooked separately. Didn’t have many of the lunches as we had the packed offering, they were the same each time and not great! The wine was delicious and the bottle replenished as and when required. You could only get ice cream at lunch times, there were plenty of desserts to choose from. However if you saw something that you might like, take it when you see it as it wasn’t always available when you were. The rooms were kept nice and clean and the general layout of the hotel was good. Didn’t try the pool or the hotel beach, didn’t have time being on an escorted trip.The hotel is quite isolated, so if you were an independent travellers you would definitely need transport.

    We really enjoyed pur stay at this hotel. Rooms were superb with lounge area ( which accommodated a sofa/ bed) and seperate tv, in addition to fridge & wardrobe. Main bedroom was light and airy with patio windows leading onto enclosed balcony with views of gardens and sea in distance. All staff were very friendly and the food was superb. We especially enjoyed the Limoncello spritz in an evening! We were part of a Great Rail Journeys group - they seem to have a number of groups using this hotel. In fact, most people there appeared to be in groups. I imagine this would change in the summer months to accommodate families. Pool area was lovely - thou a bit cold for us at tbis time of year. There was a wooden walkway down to the sea and men were putting out more sand to create a beach. The hotel puts on a shuttle to and from the nearby town - Polygnano - which is definitely worth a visit. We also loved Monopoli - just a little further on, despite the fact it was a wet day when we visited!
