    Hotel in an excellent central location but bed room was run down and amenities poor in room. Breakfast staff lovely but actual food available very limited.

    Terrible experience. As I was traveling by car, I chose hotels with parking, even more expensive ones. The Hotels.com website said “parking available” for 15 euros. Street parking was available. I arrived with my car and was told at reception that there was NO PARKING, neither at the hotel nor on the street. They pointed me to a parking lot 800m away at a cost of 25 euros. Absurd... (this information has now been corrected). We went to the room. To my surprise, as this wasn't mentioned on the website either, there WAS NO WINDOW, just a skylight in the ceiling that opened about 5 centimeters. As the room was on the top floor, the sun shone directly on the roof and, although it was 17 to 20 degrees outside, it was 27 degrees or more inside the room ALL THE TIME. I went to turn on the air conditioning and it WASN'T WORKING. I called reception and they said that "as it was cold, only the HEATING was on. And that they couldn't turn on the air conditioning and the heating at the same time because it was just one system for the whole hotel. !!!! I asked for another room and there wasn't one. A 4-star hotel with NO AIR CONDITIONING????? My wife had to sleep covered in a wet towel to withstand the heat in the room, as there was no way to ventilate it to lower the temperature. It's worth mentioning that the staff were not at all welcoming and when I complained about these absurdities I was told very unwillingly that I should write to the manager, that they don't pass on complaints. In addition, the room's electronic password safe was broken. They only gave me a key which I had to carry around with me all the time, which is uncomfortable and dangerous, which is why hotels install electronic safes. But nothing works here. In the bathroom, soap and shampoo came in small sachets and not in bottles as is normal in 3-star hotels in Italy. I had to open 5 sachets of soap plus 5 of shampoo for each shower. RIDICULOUS. Breakfast was reasonable but well below the average for 3-star hotels around here. Finally, the slippers, which in any self-respecting hotel or B&B in Italy are offered as a courtesy, were charged 5 euros. In short, a hotel in full decay where nothing works properly, which charges for petty things, offers little in the way of comfort and accessories, and which claims to be 4-star when it should have a maximum of 2.5. Giving it 3 stars would be an exaggeration. It takes advantage of its good location to offer nothing. The hotel's photos are very misleading and lead guests astray. But there are several better hotels in Lecce that are better located than this one. Run away.

    Stayed with a tour on this European old style hotel. A very convenient and central location in this charming city. Rooms are comfortable and have a safe. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants and near shops and restaurants. Small breakfast room on top floor opens at 7AM and has a wonderful city view; no coffee is available before. Breakfast offerings are limited.

    Charming hotel right opposite the church of Santa Chiara. Rooms are very bright and clean and spacious. Breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely, with plenty of choice to suit all travellers. The staff were very attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. A great location for wandering the streets of Lecce, even if it was 42 degrees! Would certainly recommend this hotel, or stay again if were to travel through Lecce. A great base to travel through southern Italy.
