Location

Ravenna is a treasure chest overflowing with art, history and culture of the highest order, a city with ancient origins and a glorious past. Ravenna has served as a capital city three times: of the Western Roman Empire, of the Ostrogothic Kingdom of Italy and of the Byzantine Empire in Europe. The hostel is located in the historical centre of Ravenna, very close to one of the most renowned sites, the Basilica of Saint Apollinare Nuovo. Many of the other monuments are of prime historical and artistic importance, and, just like the main railway station, are just a stone’s throw away. The hostel lies about 20 km away from Forlì airport and can be easily reached by taxi or by bus to Ravenna railway station and then a short walk.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1700. The hotel has a lift and features 34 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe.     Charming former palace

    Very comfortable and charming, and public areas are quite spacious and comfortable. A decent continental breakfast is included, and snacks and water are stocked at the bar throughout the day. Note that the room shutters don’t open to allow light into the room, although they will allow air in. In-room bathrooms are a bit primitive, unsurprising for a building this old.

    This is a wonderful boutique hotel with fresco ceilings, ground floor terrace, beautiful sitting rooms, great breakfast, bowls of chocolate, excellent staff. Great value!

    The hotel is well situated for visiting the sites of Ravenna and for the railway station. The building has character with an interior chapel, piano room and small lounges. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a great choice. All the staff are very attentive and efficient.

    Historic hotel and the bedrooms were very small with a tiny bathroom. It’s an interesting building and the staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet was good, and the barman in the evening was very knowledgable and helpful.

    Beautiful hotel , spacious room ( premium price -fresco ceiling ) some small disappointed aspects . No kettle bathroom shower gel in tiny individual sachets looked:-(
