Magic Holiday at Colle dei Pini

    rating02 Sept 2024

We recently enjoyed a magical three-week stay at Colle dei Pini Residence in Riccione, and it was an experience we'll never forget. From the moment we arrived, the director, Fabio, made us feel at home. He was always available with excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions, and his friendly demeanor and constant smile added to the warmth of our stay. The residence is surrounded by beautiful greenery, which made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere—just what we needed to disconnect from city life. Our apartment was spotless, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Special thanks to Alessandra and Roberta, who were always cheerful and ready to help, and to Alessandro, the handyman, for his excellent work. The highlight of our stay was the gorgeous swimming pool located right next to our apartment. It was the perfect place to relax, and it was always kept super clean. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful residence with our favorite team! Thanks to everyone at Colle dei Pini for making our holiday truly magical.Helena 😊

    Disappointing

    rating14 Jan 2019

I ask my partner to call to the residence and ask about the kitchen equipment coz of our little son. He was told the kitchen is well equipped. So I assumed didn’t need to bring anything with me. Some of the cutleries were rusty...and most of the dishes were quite old. There was not even the kettle...which I thought nowadays it’s everywhere...there was on enough light in the kitchen. The bed was big but on my side the mattress felt like trampoline...so we asked for one more blanket to put under...ourselves...The clothes dryer was all rusty and damaged some of our clothes...When we used washing machine the clothes were even more dirty than before...That wouldn’t bother as much as one of the receptionist who didn’t greet me first not even replied my greetings...young guy, no smiling, stuck on his mobile...Overall the place was quite clean and the pool was top!

    Disappointing!!

    rating25 Jun 2016

Pictures does not reflect the low standard of this place. The flats have severe problems with moisture and mold. The aircondition droppes water and flooded out over the floor. Water pressure was low and made it impossible to take a shower some days. Gardening was poor and way too much vegetation around the place. The personnel was though friendly but that does not help when the housing is outdated and poorly managed. The two families survived but it will be the remembered only for being the low mark of our fantastic vacation in Italy.

    A good base

    rating11 Oct 2012

We have more then ones over the last couple of years stayed at colle dei pini. And each time it has worked very well as a perfect base. It has all the basic requirement, but also the possibility for use of pool and a nice terrace to enjoy the morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. And the price considered it makes a very good base. The apartment we had last time nr. 11, is very nice. it has a little kitchen in open connection with the living room which also has 2 beds, a very good size bedroom, a good size bathroom and a nice terrace. A nice clean base at a good price.

Beware it is in 3 locations along a very steep road!

    rating07 Sept 2011

The address can be misleading as we discovered with our taxi driver, it lists as 7-41-51, these are the 3 different properties on the same road. You need to go to 7 Via dei Pini for a reception - which is only open at set hours, not open at all on a Sunday. Our first problem was getting through the gate to the reception - no one seemed keen to let us in. Once in, no one spoke any English, I was told by phone that we would not be staying at number 7 and that the gentleman there would take us to our apartment. So we jumped in his truck and got taken to 51 Via dei Pini. Top of a very steep road! We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment - so we can only assume that these were all the 2 bedroom ones. The apartment was ok, plenty of room, only downside all single beds. 2 in each bedroom and 2 in the living area. There was a seating area at the front door but no balcony to appreciate the view. Also a swimming pool. Only problem was the location, 51 is on the junction of 2 busy roads - so if you are used to sleeping next to the M6 then no problem but for us it meant little sleep. Also there is no air con and no fans! So you shut the windows to try and reduce the road noise and boil to death.Oh and they don't do kettles - so bring a travel one unless you like boiling a pan!So we decided to ask if we could move from this apartment - at this point we were the only people up here. The trek to the nearest supermarket was a killer on the way back. We got told there would be a one bedroom available at 7 Via dei pini on the Saturday. They were very helpful in moving us as we were going to be out all day at the MotoGP. Good job we did move as on the Saturday night there is a big nightclub just up the road from 51 Via dei pini, so it would have been road noise & nightclub noise. 41 could also hear the noise. We moved to apartment 5 in 7 Via dei Pini. Probably their worst apartment as it is ground floor and all the steps to the other aprtments mean going past the back of apartment 5 which is where the bedroom is! But there was only 1 night that was really noisy to the early hours. The apartment was a good size. Nice double bed, bathroom functional - probably could do with a good clean & paint. Nice new kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a sofa bed and chair bed in the front room.In the 2 bed apartment there was a nice flat screen tele and could get CNN and eurosport (though not english eurosport). In apartment 5 there was the smallest portable and not one channel with any English. Not that we had gone to watch the tele but I do like to see the news now and again. Also in apartment 5, no air con and no fans. Bearing in mind it was over 30C in the daytime and probably only dropping to 25 at night, so very hot.Must mention the beds - all of them - like sleeping on a plank! Very hard as were the pillows. Don't know if we would have got fresh towles if we hadn't moved, no one comes in to clean whilst you are there and so thinking that the towels have to last all week. There is no shop/bar at the apartments. The mini supermarket is about 7 mins walk away - next to bar Tiffiny on the main road. The big supermarket 15 mins. Beach front 20 - 25 mins walk.We walked to the Misano circuit from the apartments - took approx 40 mins to Prato 2 and an hour to Brutapela. There is a free bus, but they are packed!Oh and insect bites - everyone got bitten to death. Even those who never get bitten got bites. So plenty of sprays and plug ins! In fact I would take a mozzie net and tape it over the bed if I went again.Oh and learn some Italian - very few people spoke any English.Buses buy your tickets before you get on as it is cheaper. We hired push bikes as we wanted to go to Tavullia and there are limited ways to get there. Great fun cycling along the front as all cycle paths and nice and flat. Road to Tavullia is not flat! But we made it :)
