Horrible front desk staff, Sylvia was very rude and u professional.

    rating10 Jan 2024

I had a horrible experience in this hotel, the front desk attended Sylvia from Argentina pretended she did not speak any Spanish, and I think she thinks she’s like Italian royalty, she was extremely rude. The service from her was unacceptable and unprofessional, the hotel is far away from everything in a very dirty and unsafe area of Rome, PLEASE do not stay here. I do not recommend it at all!

    Basic Hotel

    rating23 Nov 2022

There is a metro line approx 5 mins away to the right, with regular connections via the underground to tourist attractions. This underground journey takes approx 20 mins. We brought a Metro day rider, valid for 24hrs on the underground @£8 for the day. Breakfast was very basic, but ok, coffee/tea/juice, plus toast, cakes, yoghurt, and fruit.Room 102 was basic, with no kettle, but there was a fridge. Shower was tired, but good pressure, plus the toiletries in sachets, limited Italian TV channels, but good WiFi.Be prepared ther is a £4 per person, per night, tax to be paid upon exit.

    It was fine

    rating22 Dec 2018

I stayed in this hotel about 2 weeks ago for a period of 5 nights. For the most part, the hotel is fine. I actually had reservations in another place and the other place canceled my reservation because I couldn't get to it before 1:30PM (I planned on arriving at 5PM). My friend made the reservation for me at the last moment and thankfully, she was able to get me a room. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. I had a single room and I must say, it was small. I haven't slept in a twin bed since I was a child...but in Italy, that is common for a single room. Also, there aren't many electrical outlets in any hotel in Italy which makes things a little difficult...but workable The bathroom was a decent size, albeit the shower is small (just don't drop the soap!) Water pressure is, pleasantly, good. Breakfast was included and although I don't eat a great deal for it, they had a large selection. There was a European style breakfast (pastries, croissants, cheeses, ham, etc) but they also had an American version (scrambled eggs and American coffee). As to an airport shuttle, they do have one, but it is not officially part of the hotel. It is a service that you must reserve the day before. The cost is 55 Euros for a trip to the airport that takes about 45 minutes. In my case, I was alone in the car...I do not believe it is a shared vehicle. All in all, the hotel met my needs. I would stay again.

    Served a good purpose

    rating07 Sept 2018

Hotel Aniene is situated a little way north outside the centre of Rome. For Londoners, think Finsbury Park from Leicester Square. Not a problem though as you’re a 5 minute walk from Conca D’Oro metro station which gets you on the B Line 20 minutes straight down to the centre and main attractions. Conca D’Oro itself isn’t a sight to behold and rather shows you a different side to Rome, but advise you not to walk alone there at night. The rooms are basic but sufficient - beds are comfy enough, TV, safe, A/C works fine. Bathroom’s good with nice shower and bidet (win). Breakfast is mainly continental, so breads, ham, cheeses, as well as an array of deserts for breakfast, as Italians do. As a heads up, this hotel also offers scrambled egg that doesn’t contain milk so you lactose / dairy free people eat something. I’m sure they’d boil or poach you eggs if you ask them. There is also a little fruit, yoghurt and coffee/tea as expected. Generally a good base for exploring the city - as it’s a bit out the way you end up saving a bit but as long as you don’t mind a bit of travel. Only thing I found unusual is that when you leave the room to go out for the day, reception ask you leave your keys with them then you can ask for them when you return. Good in a way so you have one less thing to worry about whilst you’re out and about. However on collecting them, you say your room number, get your key no questions asked. Made me wonder how easy it is to get hold of someone else’s room key...

Nice but far from the city center

    rating09 Apr 2018

Nice, clean hotel (fridge in the room is a plus) but 15 mins to the city center by metro and short walk to metro station Conca D'oro. The room was finished half an hour later than expected but there is a nice terrace in the street to kill some time. Good beds and a great shower after a long day of exploring the beautiful city!breakfast is good, lot's of sweet options.
