Location

The hotel is situated near the 11th century church of the same name, and is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees and woods. It is located at the heart of the Chianti region, the home of the famous Black Rooster wine, and offers a splendid 360° panorama. Siena is approximately 15 minutes away, while Florence and San Gimignano are 50 minutes away.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 29 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     Although out of town, very close still, ten minutes drive - hotel includes all that is required to visit tuscany, good rooms, very good breakfast, parking with car charging facilities, a very good restaurant - and most important of all, very humble, young, italian team members. Will come back.

    The villa was beautiful! The staff was amazingly kind and helpful, even with odd requests (like duct tape!). The rooms were rustic but well-outfitted. The breakfast buffet was incredible and so delicious! It was an ample and varied buffet with meat, eggs, fruit, yogurt, yummy breads and pastries and so many juices and coffee options! And the dinners we had with the Viking excursions were also fantastic! And the views? Drop-dead gorgeous! Wish we had been there in the summer to enjoy the pool!     We spent 3 nights at this hotel while on a wonderful road trip around Tuscany. It serves as a great base for this northern Chianti part of Tuscany and the lovely towns of Siena, Greve, Radda, Montefioralle, Monteriggioni and Valpaia. The hotel was very authentic which was enhanced by the room furniture. The room itself was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom, although being a little tight, was clean and workable. Service was professional and friendly from all staff members, from reception through to the restaurant. Breakfasts were great, whilst the restaurant served authentic and delicious Italian dishes. The grounds are also nice, and we spent some relaxing time at the large pool. All in all, our stay was delightful.     The rooms are simple, but that’s perfectly reasonable given that the hotel is a beautifully preserved old farmhouse — it adds to the charm. The entire staff truly deserves a 10 out of 10: from the reception and kitchen teams to the housekeeper who kept our room spotless. Service at the bar and restaurant was exceptional — everyone was warm, attentive, and welcoming.The restaurant is a real highlight. It’s so convenient to enjoy a nice dinner right at the hotel after a long day out, and the wine list is excellent.The location also deserves a perfect score — stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, yet only about 20 minutes from Siena’s historic center.We would absolutely recommend this place!
