    3 night stay as part of a Riviera tour

    Recent 3 night stay on a Riviera tour.Very relaxing stay. It was nice to have some down time to relax by the poolside.We had an interesting room with a small staircase up to 2 small single beds. Room was very old fashioned with wood shutters but comfortable nonetheless.Breakfast was ok but we noticed that they tended not to replenish some of the food items if not asked. Evening meals were included in our tour and again, no complaints.Overall a good choice of hotel for our tour.

    Bedroom average. Decent size but outdated and a bit dark. Nice pool with comfy loungers. Breakfast was diabolical. Tinned fruit, white bread, disgusting juice. Reception were not approachable. This hotel needs an overhaul.

    This is a lovely property at a reasonable price. The pool was clean and well maintained. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms were very modern. We enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant.The hotel is not in the centre of Monteriggioni but in a quiet location. There is a steep but beautiful walk into Monteriggioni.

    We stayed here with a Riviera Travel tour. Firstly, the hotel is in the middle of absolutely nowhere . Our room backed on to some scrubland that followed through to a busy main road. The room was quaint in an Italian way. Positives were clean , fluffy towels and lots of hot water . Food was interesting. Being part of a group tour, we chose our following day menu the evening before. To say fresh vegetables were scarce was an understatement. One night we had a chicken leg with a 2 inch moon size bit of compressed carrot. That was on the menu as a main course. 3 nights out of 7 we had slabs of meat and potato presented to us. Day 1 we all sat and waited for the vegetables to arrive. Sadly disappointed, we soon realised vegetables weren’t part of the meals on offer. You won’t get fat on the cuisine in this hotel ! Early morning trip departures meant we missed the fruit delivery for breakfast. Mind you, the kiwi fruit on offer were as hard as bricks. The house white wine was pretty good though so my advice is to wash your potato’s and meat down with this ! Some of the staff were quite offhand. When checking out and paying our room bill we got the district impression that we were like a bad smell under the male receptionists nose ! No “ thankyou “ or “ I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay with us “The hotel was chosen by our tour company so we had no say in the matter but I wouldn’t choose to stay here if I was making accommodation arrangements .

    Disappointing as ant infestation

    This is not a four star hotel . It is in a pretty area , although on a main road and not within walking distance of amenities . Pool was shut all through our stay which was disappointing . On our second night we woke at 3am to find ants in our bed , all over the bedding and hundreds all over the floor , in our clothes and bathroom , also black bugs . Upon finding a cleaner we were told that she would hoover them up !! Then spray all the room whilst we were out !! We said we were not staying in a room that had been sprayed with chemicals all day and the ants were absolutely everywhere . We were then told no rooms available ! We said you’ll have to find us one . We did move but it was awful , Italian children running up and down the corridor till after 11 o’clock at night screaming and shouting !! No respect . We had a flight the next morning . Would not stop there again as not a four star . Best thing was the food for evening meal and that’s all really .
