    Choosing Laticastelli as our wedding venue and working with Eglantina as our planner was the single best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning journey. From the very first planning call to checkout, our experience with Laticastelli was above and beyond anything we could have ever dreamed of for our special day.Laticastelli itself is like stepping into a storybook. The Borgo feels like your own private Tuscan village, tucked away among rolling hills and vineyards. Every corner is full of charm and history, yet the rooms are modern, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. With so many gorgeous spots to host events, we were able to use different parts of the property for each celebration, and every event felt unique and magical.Now for the best part: Eglantina didn’t just plan our wedding—she truly became part of our family. From start to finish, she guided us through every stage of the process with warmth, patience, and an energy that made everything feel effortless and truly enjoyable. For example, when we arrived to find a forecast calling for 100% rain on our wedding day, she immediately put us at ease with her calming, steady presence and back-up plans A through Z. Because of her careful planning, we were able to fully let go, relax, and be present with our guests, knowing she was advocating for us and handling every detail or issue discreetly behind the scenes.What made Egli so wonderful, though, was how deeply she cared about us as a couple. She, her team, and all the vendors she recommended went above and beyond to make our wedding spectacular, adding thoughtful touches that made the experience uniquely ours. Egli's passion, dedication, and genuine love for us and her work shone through in every detail across every event.Looking back, Laticastelli gave us the perfect backdrop, but it was Eglantina who made it the best week of our lives.     This is a review about the customer service and not the venue, as I never attended. The venue looks beautiful in pictures and is in a great location. I was unable to attend the wedding due to ill health. Refunds are not available, even with written proof from a doctor. Just something to be aware of if you are attending a wedding here. Laticastelli Direttore, Direttore generale at Borgo Laticastelli, responded to this review Dear Madam WrenPlease let just specify from the beggining that you never send a payment to the venue :) This is a very strange request and review but thank you for writting this as it is perfect for making future guests understand. Madam Wren contacted us for asking a refund for money she never paid to us. Maybe this money were gifted to the couple for their wedding and after Madam Wren was not possible to attend a wedding then she asked money to us. The couple paid to us for the venue in exclusive as per contract with them 30 days before the wedding. They had an amazing wedding with all the guests partecipating and they are sending to us lots of compliments. This is the most important <3 Our customer service is continuing answering to all the mails from Madam Wren in a very gentle manner informing her different times that we never had a payment from her, eventhough these strange requests are not in line with our idea of family members and love toward the new couples. In this moment we are so sorry for what they are passing after an amazing wedding.Important information for future guests: The couple is paying the venue in exlcusive for the wedding package, not for single room. If you decide to offer them a gift or help them with the organisation for their wedding and future, please do not ask for this money back as this is a GIFT: If by any chance you decide to ask the money back for any reason, please do not ask the refung to the venue. We have a clear contract with every couple and all of them have been happy to pay as every wedding was amazing here at the Borgo.     We chose Laticastelli because its location is a perfect "home base" for driving excursions in Tuscany. Monterregioni, Siena and San Gemignano and Arezzo are all an easy drive. The hotel, though, exceeded our expectations...incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, really charming setting, wonderful pool and a terrific and very reasonably priced restaurant and a great breakfast buffet. We loved it and plan to return.

    Delightful country hotel - huge character and very friendly staff. Restaurant excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Particularly enjoyed chilling at the pool with a cold beer whilst taking in the incredible views across the valley. Will definitely return !     My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely fell in love with this beautiful borgo!The setting is so peaceful and feels so authentically Italian. The team there were so friendly and were very forgiving of us speaking (extremely) limited Italian. We tried our best to muddle our way though basic phrases and they were always so happy to help us. Next time I stay I am determined to have learned more so their efforts aren’t wasted! We went for the half-board option which included breakfast and dinner, and we ate at the restaurant for lunch a couple of times as well. The food was always outstanding and tasted so fresh! I tried my best to work through the entire menu, having something different every night, but caved a couple of times and ordered the same dish because they were so tasty! The salted cod was dreamy! The pool area is stunning! Lots of sun beds available and the pool is just the right temperature to cool off from the Mediterranean sun. The view from the pool area is breathtaking and there is a nice touch of having a self-service drinks fridge by the pool so that you can get refreshment without somebody always having to be there (always be honest and sign the paper!)Our room was lovely and comfortable, and was checked daily by the housekeeping team. When we first checked in (we were a bit early) our room had just been cleaned and when we walked in it smelled amazing and had clearly just been fully mopped. It immediately put me at ease as cleanliness of the room is so important to me. On our last day we did an Italian cooking class which I would highly recommend! We learned how to make ravioli and tagliatelle from scratch and then got to eat the dishes we cooked which were lovely! Chef was very friendly and informative! I would say a hire car is essential if you want to explore the area as it is very rural. Also, as it is in the countryside, there are mosquitoes so I would suggest bringing some repellent and hydrocortisone just in case! Some reviews have mentioned noise from the nearby road and, although there is a main road nearby and you can hear some of the traffic noise, I wouldn’t let that put you off as it was very minor and didn’t impact the enjoyment of our stay at all. Overall, we totally fell in love with this venue and I have already enquired about visiting again next year with a larger group and renting one of the villas. I cannot wait to stay again and enjoy more of the fantastic Italian hospitality (and food!)
