Location

    Last minute check in to this very central hotel. Super friendly receptionist. Slightly faded common parts. Room was comfortable but was the last available so wasn’t their best!Breakfast was quite good

    Just a lovely place to stay. A historic building in a beautiful village with good restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time. We used the pools at the neighbouring properties near Gaiole, but also toured to Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pistoia and the other Chianti villages. Can’t wait to return.

    Well located in quiet main street in centre of the old town, the street is basically used by pedestrians with very occasional cars. Nice rooms. Good continental style breakfast with variety of pastries, fruit, etc. Staff friendly and those on reception are good English speakers. Also very helpful, preparing a take-away breakfast as we had an early start for a sporting event. Several restaurants within 400 metres of front door. No dedicated parking, you need to use free bays on surrounding streets, but I did not find this a problem.

    Palazzo San Niccolò is a charming place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any needs. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

    The hotel was extremely clean, comfortable and centrally located. The external cafe bar was a lovely way to end a long day’s sightseeing. It would have been perfect if it stayed open later than 7.30. Staff were friendly and helpful in particular, Maria Angelina. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The wine was delicious and typically a high standard one would expect in the Chianti area. All in all a very pleasant introduction to Tuscany and the Chianti route.
