  A real mail station

  The word relais has been interpreted in the primitive sense of its meaning: where to rest or change horses. Agreed, the worst room is given to those who book first, however... Peeled walls, room 100, bedside tables are small tables, old and ruined; chairs and headboard peeled; flying wires in defiance of any minimum safety standards; wardrobe absent; only one lampshade. We move on to the bathroom, made by reducing the room so much that it is difficult to reach part of the bed; defective door for water coming out of the shower and sink, so small that it does not contain a hand; absent placemat; toilet cover with exposed internal material, a visit to the NAS would have closed the structure. In three nights they could not remove the bubble bath bags left in the shower, ours because they were never replaced. Nice thought of the microwave, but it would have been enough to put the glass in the fridge to warm it, if you had brought it from home, because I am not in the room.   Don’t waste your money

  We (friends) received an email at 10.30am the day we were to check in informing us of limited hours of opening at reception. Being an international traveller, we had not received this email as wifi had not been available that morning. We arrived early enough, by chance, to checkin. Limited reception hours were not previously advertised.Check in went well and we paid cash in advance because reception would not be open when we were leaving in two days.It then went down hill. Room quite bare but clean. Side table only on one side of room. Fronted Street and exceptionally noisy all hours, inside the building and outside. Ran out of loo paper. No extras - jug, tea, coffee, cups, glasses.No wifi for a lot of the time but mostly too poor to use. Garden “full of smokers” to quote man at checkin.Hot water went first day during the night and was not repaired before we checked out two days later.We were offered alternate accommodation but this was not an option for us for legitimate reasons. He gave us a 20 Euro refund on our 170 Euro total fee, which was an insult. We should have been credited at least one day accommodation cost.Close to tourist attractions and rail. Elevators to train should be advertised better.Would never recommend. More like a two star hostel and definitely not a hotel.

  Pleasant hotel

  Pleasant hotel about fifteen minutes’ walk from the Piazza del Campo and convenient for the bus and railway stations. Wide choice of restaurants in nearby streets. Rooms set within a residential block a few doors from the reception, so limited contact with the hotel staff – but very friendly and efficient on check-in and check-out. The room itself was pleasant: simply furnished and clean. No breakfast.

  Fantastic place, wonderful service

  This is a great spot to stay in Siena! We stayed in a quaint, comfortable room with a nice view and an incredible fresco ceiling. We had to arrive late at night and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Thanks a bunch for a wonderful stay!

  A wonderful place to stay in Siena! Breakfast was brought to the room, everything is clean and lovely, they even have a garden. The people are very nice and helpful. Thanks for a great time in Siena! Greetings from Vienna.
