    Reminds me of an old funeral parlor

    Well, since I am a full blooded Italian I can say if you want to stay in an old Italian funeral parlor than this is the place. It could be an incredible place if it wasn’t so dated. Old, very old. Electronics not updated. Our TV was an old LG 20” that was so far away it was impossible to use. No updated places to plug in usb or charge cords. Old pictures on the wall faded or yellowed. The place is dingy. What could be a spectacular place was sorely lacking. We were supposed to stay for five nights and left after 3. Think twice before you commit.The restaurant was a surprise and not a pleasant one. Again, based on reviews I would have expected good service and good food. My food was inedible. I have never seen or experienced a veal osso bucco so poorly prepared. We had to contact you by phone to understand how you intended to proceed before charging for the dinner.Regarding your comments on the restaurant, we do not have "veal osso buco" on our menu, so it’s unlikely that this was the dish served to you in our restaurant.As for the décor, our paintings are authentic 18th and 19th century prints — their slight yellowing is a mark of originality and history, not neglect.We understand that personal taste varies, but we strive to combine authenticity and comfort in a setting that reflects the historical character of our property.

    Gorgeous Italian town and wonderful hotel, postcard material

    Both my wife and I spend 4 nights at Relais Vignale for our honeymoon and it was truly the most beautiful and perfect stay. From the moment we arrived we fell in love with Relais Vignale and the town of Radda, so much so we didn't empty our cases for the first 2 hours as we were wandering and taking lots of beautiful pictures. Not only was the hotel authentic and gorgeous, the staff (especially Serena and Eleanora) could not have been more helpful and welcoming, it was lovely to get to know all the staff throughout our stay. The room was fantastic with an amazing view of the town. Speaking of the views, there is nothing that compares. Be that from the town or from Relais Vignale, the views are breath taking being surrounded by the Tuscan hills. The amenities at the hotel are wonderful, with a fantastic breakfast in the morning with a huge variety or fresh fruit, pastries and hot food with all the Italian coffee you could imagine. Dinner was impeccable and while we had wonderful meals out in Radda, the night we ate in the hotel was of the highest standard, the service and quality of the food was second to none. The atmosphere in the evening was relaxed and peaceful and the subtle background music allowed you to relax with a nice glass of wine and take in what a truly beautiful place this is. Thank you to everyone at Relais Vignale for making this the most wonderful holiday and we have already booked to return next year for longer. Or, depending on the euro millions results, we will be back in a few days.     Beautiful hotel, stunning views, fabulous staff.

    From the moment we arrived we relaxed. The hotel has such a beautiful atmosphere and the staff are just lovely, so friendly and helpful particularly when you are travelling with a young g child.The hotel is spotlessly clean inside and out. The grounds and pool area are so pretty with a great pool bar for an Aperol spritz while gazing at the stunning view. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and plenty of fresh fruits and a very cool orange juice maker all eating in the restaurant with a breathtaking view and again wonderful staff.     Beautiful and quaint hotel in Chianti area.

    This is a really lovely hotel location in Radda. Just a few steps to the center of town where you can find restaurants and shops. The hotel itself had a nice restaurant with a huge patio/balcony area with a view in good weather. Our room was well appointed and really spacious. The staff are accommodating and the breakfast, which was included, was delicious. This is a great hotel to be based out of for touring the Chianti wine region. They even offer cooking classes which we unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of. Would stay here again if we were in the area!     Many very good attributes to this hotel. Lovely location, nice grounds and amenities. Staff very helpful and try very hard. It does, however, miss something - need better management? It has the potential to be a top class hotel but needs to sharpen up!
