Location

This hotel is located at the heart of Sorrento. Piazzo Tasso, Sorrento's main square lies just a few minutes away. Shops, bars and nightclubs are to be found within 100 m. The nearest public transport, a bus station and a railway station as well as the town centre can all easily be reached in about 5 minutes' walk. The beach and Mediterranean Sea lie around 2 km from the hotel. With the train, guests are easily able to reach Naples (around 45 km away), the ruins of Pompeii (roughly 30 km away), Herculaneum as well as Stabiae. The bus takes guests to the tourist resort of Positano (roughly 20 km away), the small town of Amalfi (around 20 km) and to Ravello. The islands of Capri and Ischia as well as Procida are around 10 km away and guests will find Mount Vesuvius volcano around 20 km away.

The complex has 120 non-smoking rooms, including 2 single rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by 2 lifts.     Lots of reasons to go here, from reasonably sized rooms to a nice breakfast buffet, to the rooftop bar/pool area. Competent staff, great location, and very good value hotel. Face it, you are likely out all day and into the evening, right!

    A perfect hotel, in a perfect location with friendly, helpful staff, lovely ambiance. spacious, comfortable rooms, a great rooftop bar and small pool. It was a very short walk to Piazza Tasso where everything happens. The hotel handled the tour groups that coincided with our stay so well that they never intruded on our experience. Breakfast was great. I don't know how they make such fluffy scrambled eggs. The lounge downstairs and the rooftop bar were perfect for before-dinner drinks. Sorrento has very narrow sidewalks (if that's what you'd call them) along the street to the Piazza so walk carefully. The only thing missing was cold drinking water in the room or throughout the hotel. You might want dinner elsewhere.

    Astonishing behaviour by staff. Sorrento was beautiful and generally hospitality in Italy is excellent, but not at this hotel. After a long day out we popped inside the hotel to discreetly use the bathroom because I have a medical condition which causes severe stomach pains at random times. In the other hotels and the staff where very kind and understanding about it, accepting a small purchase or tip as thanks, so we thought it would be the same here- but as soon as we were through the door Staff immediately started yelling and threatening us aggressively and insisting they’d call the police. They interrupted, shouting when we tried to politely explain, and eliminating the option for remuneration or courtesy purchase, because of the hostile immediacy of our instruction to leave. I understand the policy about not wanting non staying guests, but in a business that relies on tourism and hospitality, it is extremely hostile and inhuman to shout at and threaten people immediately without understanding the situation or any circumstance /problem they may have.

    The old lady driving a green Topolino (the owner as she said) treated us like garbage while we we're waiting outside for our bus. I would NEVER go!!!!
