This beach hotel is situated in one of the most picturesque corners of the Sorrento Peninsula, 10 km from Sorrento and 40 km from Naples. It offers guests an ideal starting point for all the excursions the region has to offer. Nearby places of interest include Pompei (15 km), Positano (20 km), the Amalfi coast (30 km), Mount Vesuvius (35 km) and Capri (15 km). The resort is located on the beachfront and is just 3 km from the town centre. Capodichino Airport is approximately 50 km from the hotel.

Facility

20 apartments, 4 single rooms and 31 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the complex include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Just spent eight fabulous days here at this hotel. The Aixidie is really well placed to see the Amalfi coast by boat or train. We had two rest days, so being on the beach and having a spa available was perfect for us. We wanted to treat ourselves so we booked a larger room with a terrace overlooking the sea and marina. It was beautifully serviced each day, gave us more space and a large balcony. The breakfast was continental and English. You can buy lunch and dinner at the bar/restaurant next to the beach. Or you can walk to one of the local hotels or restaurants. We ate lots of fish! What made our stay were the staff on reception… Anna, Gullia and Valentina in particular were genuinely helpful in so many different ways. They had to tolerate my husband who is learning Italian! Poor things! We had so much fun!!Not to forget the helpful, smiley staff in the breakfast room too. From right outside the hotel you can catch a boat to Capri, Sorrento. Positano, Amalfi, Ravello. All fantastic trips but very busy with us tourists! Just try to plan what you want to see before you go to maximise on your time there. The hotel provides a free, reliable mini bus to the station where you can get around on trains. But beware…they are packed with tourists and you’re lucky if you get a seat. If this bothers you look at the express trains which you need to book online. In total, from the hotel, you’re about an hour to Pompeii. It’s easy to buy your entrance tickets there. We made the mistake of buying them online then had a six minute walk to the ticket office. Herculaneum is a bit further on… an hour and three quarters. Book an express train… it secures a seat! No one standing!Thank you to all the staff who made our holiday so enjoyable.

    Will start with the good as its short. The day staff are very good. Helpful, attentive and polite. Took a lot of trouble to eg explain directions to tourist destinations.But as a family resort we were disappointed.No mention on main website Wellness is adults only. No specific mention main pool is adults only. Only mention main wellness center pool is adults only is on small pop out window on page for room description. When I think Wellness Center I think of adult spa, massage area for adults only. Doesn’t make it clear there are very little facilities for families.Very misleading that vast majority of services aren't available for guests.Website doesn’t make clear you are sharing beach pool and facilities with 100's of day guests at peak season. Nice area of beach free for all, hotel guests are restricted to stony corner of beach. Hotel guests should be prioritised on nicer, sandy parts of the beach.The pool you share with beach club guests is awful. Area is completely sodden and the pool too small for number of people it needs to accommodate.No private pool for guests and children.No internal bar or lounge area for guests to relax in outside of sun. No residents only bar inside hotel to sit and enjoy drink in air-conditioned environment.Punta Scutolo - indoor area was run down and neglected. Made me not want to eat there.Web-site if very misleading in terms of restaurants. Makes it sound like there is nice restaurant, beach restaurant and beach bar. When if fact there is only one area serving all 3 functions.Breakfast terrace was never opened to the outside.No complimentary water bottles provided.In summary hotel amenities were very limited. Stripped back to room and breakfast. With focus being on paying beach club day-guests. I don’t feel I got any value for money.I tried to speak to hotel management during my stay but no one was ever around. I wrote separately with a formal complaint but my concerns were dismissed.A year later and I am still seething.
