  Breakfast is very meager. I would have expected some typical local products considering that we are in the coast. For the sweet part the proposal was basic: croissants, marbled doughnut and simple doughnut. The products offered are mainly salty, targeting foreign tourists. Overall the breakfast is definitely to be improved, as it is poor and of poor quality. For the Pool Service we reported the presence of a significant infestation of bees and ants. At the reception we are informed that they would restore the situation the next morning and make the Service accessible. The next day the situation remained unchanged, bees and ants still everywhere. Back at the reception they confirm that there are nests that are difficult to treat, a problem that has already arisen in the years before. In short, if you offer a Pool Service surrounded by vegetation, periodic maintenance must be carried out to avoid such inconveniences. The green spaces are poorly maintained. Disposable shower caps are missing.In addition, I have never seen a 4-star hotel that makes coffee with pod instead of using ground coffee in the professional barista espresso machine. Would not recommend it at all for a coastal stay. Bianca Acampora, Proprietario at Maison Montechiaro, responded to this review Gentile Sig.ra Maria RosariaLa ringrazimo innanzitutto di aver scelto la nostra strutura per trascorrere il Vostro soggiorno.Ci spiace che la struttura non abbia soddisfatto i Vostri standard, ma mi lasci puntualizzare alcuni punti; La colazione essendo continentale è composta sia da come ha affermato lei da croissant, e ciambelle, ma non solo ciò, sul buffet vengono proposte anche; crostate all'albicocca, frolle, caprese al cioccolato,caprese al limone, torta di mele, più un'ampia scelta di marmellate, il rimpiazzo è sempre garantito affinchè ogni ospite abbia la possibilità di un'ampia scelta.Per quanto concerce la presenza di formiche e Api, quando lei l'ha segnalato alla reception, prontamente il responsabile è stato informato, e ha cercato di risolvere il problema.Sicuramente trovandoci in una zona circondata dal verde non è semplice " Eliminare" il problema, in quanto è pur sempre un Eco-sistema.La Manuntenzione del giardino viene effettuata regolamente ogni settimana cosi come la disinfettazione fatta per regola ogni mese, inoltre la manutenzione del verde viene effettuata anche durante il giorno.Per il problema del caffè lo faremo presente alla Proprietà, la quale sicuramente adotterà misure nuove per la prossima stagione.La ringraziamo di aver comunque condiviso il Vostro punto di vista.   Place away from the center, indispensable a car.Clean and well organized room, we had a problem with the air conditioning and immediately we were changed the room. The lady receptionist very kind and professional, very good.Pool so-so, not 4 stars, surrounded by a garden.Failed breakfast, few things and not quality.Overall it gets better.   Finding an accomodation in Sorrento could be very difficult and expensive but if you've got a car or a driver, Maison Montechiaro could be a dream cause it's a lovely place where to stay: comfortable rooms, all green around and astonishing view.

  Great place to stay. Quite and clean. It opened in 2019 so everything is in new condition. No molded bathrooms. No pool but the beach is 15 minutes away. If you want to go on a private beach you can rent sun beds and umbrellas at Hotel Giosue A Mare and not crowded. There is a restaurant next door for dinner. Downtown Sorrento is 15 minutes away including the Marina where you can go to Capri. I suggest to reserve it in advance to able to get flexible return. Town of Portofino about 30 min ride Amalfi is about an hour. If you can hire a local transporter for a day because the roads are very tiny and a hard drive. They can help you with any question at the front desk.
