Location

Owing to its geographic position, Massa Lubrense has the privilege of being one of the most important starting points for tourist excursions in the Campania region. A short sea trip carries visitors over to Capri. Pompei and Vesuvio are also within a short distance. A magnificent road, every bend of which reveals unbelievably beautiful views, leads from Sorrento to Positano and Amalfi. Visitors who have made Massa Lubrense their base can map out a programme of alternate excursions on the hillside and along the beautiful Sorrento coast, and visit Pompei and Vesuvius. Naples International Airport is approximately 60 km away from the resort.

Facility

The resort has 52 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Travellers with bicycles can make use of the on-site bicycle storage area. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a sofa bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Equipped with a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge), the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles, and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. With golf available, active guests can exercise to their heart's content. Water sports on offer include snorkelling or, for a fee, canoeing and diving. For sports enthusiasts who wish to work out indoors, a gym is available for a fee. There is a wellness area with a spa, a steam bath and a hammam and, for an additional fee, a sauna and massage treatments.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant with air conditioning and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    We wanted a hotel with a beach. Booked on bookings.com. It is advertised as beachfront with beach… at no extra charge. This is not true!!! Even the photos on bookings.com shows the beach and indicates free beach access. And to finish it off, hotel guests need to pay to use the pool. Our card for the room did not work and when we went back the 3rd time to complain the one receptionist was extremely rude, accusing us that it was not our room… We had to show her our luggage to prove it was our room….When we asked for the bus schedule the same receptionist said check the internet…. I lost my patience and asked her politely.. so as a resort receptionist you are not able to assist with bus schedules? She made a face and said ok I will email it to you….. Better options available

    After reading some of the reviews, I do wonder whether we visited the same hotel!We arrived at midnight, and one of the owners was waiting to greet us.The resort is over an hour away (we had a private transfer given the time of arrival). It is an area perfect for adults who want some time out with plenty of restaurants, including one with 2 Michelin stars.Initially, we had a room at the back of the hotel and the next morning, we asked to upgrade to a seaview. The cost was reasonable and well worth it as the balcony looked out to the sea.The pool is small, but tranquil, and the sun loungers have the most luxurious cushions. The pool is free as long as you spend €20pp. That's easy when you stay there all day and love to drink Aperol by the pool...and Ciro makes the best Aperol Spritz!The sun loungers on the beach are €15pp and all you get is the lounger (no cushion) and use of a shower!The hotel is spotless, the breakfast has variety - so many cakes and pastries in top of the usual, yoghurt l, granola, fruit, meats, cheeses etc.The rooftop restaurant is an excellent standard with fresh quality ingredients. The area is renowned for its seafood and the red shrimp were delicious.What stands out at the hotel, though, are the owners and the staff. They will do everything to ensure you have an enjoyable stay and nothing is too much trouble. The owners are passionate about their hotel and their customer experience, which is so rare these days.We booked for the same time next year, which is rare for us. The world is a big place, so to return so soon says everything you need to know!

    I made a mistake with my booking I book twice and they charge me an extra 60.00 euro. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel outdated, rates too high! Also, I requested a late check out and they wanted an extra 100 euro for 3 extra hours. They would not keep my care for couple hours after checking out. To use the pool you must spend 20.00 euro. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

    Expensive view of the sea

    Comfortable room with great views /air con across the sea and a balcony.Breakfast was good with great selection and option of cook to order eggs/pancakes.Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Restaurant food ( roof top) was very good but expensive. Location was very quiet as start of season, and Ferry only goes to Amalfi and Positano at fixed times, so for more options will need to either drive or hire private boat or driver. We were quoted 500-800 euros. This may improve later in season ?Very clean throughout.let down by :-Poor quality linen and towels.Poor quality toiletries - sachets of shampoo/body wash. No conditioner or body lotion, cheap toilet paper that needed replacing every day. For a 4 star hotel expect much better.Shower leaked and requires a refurb. old fashioned cubicle with ill fitting door/seals. Had to pay to access roof top pool /bar/restaurant = 20 Euro PP - credit given against expenditure in bar.Pool was more like a shallow plunge pool, not a swim pool- 3 ft max.75 Euro PP for 2 hour access to Spa area. Car parking Advertised 20 Euro per night but charged 30 as the hire car was a Cupra ??Sound proofing between rooms needs improving. We had to turn up TV to avoid listening to couple next door every night.If you are looking for a quiet retreat with a pebble beach and a swim in the sea with some very good restaurants then this is the place to be, just find another hotel that provides value for money.
