    Worth the stay, better without a car

    Had a brief 1 night stay at the hotel with family so we booked 2 rooms. The photos of the rooms on the website give a realistic view of the room, however captured with a very wide lens. They rooms have adequate space, but no where near what the photos show.The bathroom is also on the small side, and the toilet and bidet positioned in corners of the bathroom where they were impossible to use without contortioning oneself.No kettle in the room, although the minibar was well stocked.Room and bathroom were nice and clean, and the bed very comfortable with a firm mattress, and good pillows.Hotel WiFi was easy to log into, and had a good reliable speed.Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay.One bad feature is that even though they have a garage, it is not possible to book it. When we arrived it was already full, and we were sent to a public underground parking area about 300m from the hotel. Street parking in the area was impossible, as there were cars already parked everywhere.Special mention to the in house restaurant. They offer a full 3 course dinner (very good sized portions) at €19. The food quality was also very good, and a special shout out to the girls waiting on us. Both were very helpful, kind, efficient and friendly.

    Very disappointed with the stay

    We chose Hotel San Giusto because it advertised having a garage for vehicles, which was our main reason for booking. When we arrived, there were no available spots in the garage, and we had to find parking elsewhere, ending up in an expensive public garage far from the hotel. The receptionist was extremely rude, saying, "Did you call me to ask if there was space?" and immediately ruined our impression of the hotel. His behavior made our stay unpleasant, with an attitude of "You don't have to be here, I don't care!" The room was modest with an exceptionally small, old bathroom. The breakfast was poor, and the staff, mostly young, seemed disinterested and unhappy with their job.

    Terrible facility but good service

    We stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise and were hugely disappointed. Nothing was as advertised. We booked directly through the hotel and were told that our 2 prerequisites were met - an elevator and air conditioning. Upon arrival, we were informed that they don't turn on their A/C system until June, which made the rooms unbearable. Also, our rooms happened to be in the annex building, which is only accessible by taking the elevator, walking down a hall, going down a few steps, and then walking up another full set of stairs. We were traveling with someone in a wheelchair that had to be helped up and down a full flight of stairs every time we left the building. Additionally, the floors were covered with paint stains and the rooms reeked of smoke. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was fine.

    Do you like sugary things for breakfast? Then this is the place to go. Do you prefere fraiche vegetables and fruits? Better stay away. There is not so much as a slice of cucumber to be found at the breakfast buffet.

    They cancelled one of our rooms for two nights and then charged us a lot more for that extra room to stay at Best Western! Called Best Western customer service two weeks before our trip to add an extra day to our two-day stay, and the customer service agent says we have too many rooms for five people. Unaware, the agent cancelled one of our room reservations.The problem primarily comes from the fact that the agent and the hotel did not communicate correctly. Anyway, we arrive and we do not have enough rooms. We are out of luck. It is not entirely Best Western San Giusto responsibility, but then to charge us $300 more when a mistake was made by Best Western is just unacceptable. Contacted Heather -- a manager in the customer service department -- at Best Western to resolve this and she says it is our fault. We did not cancel our room. I will never stay at another Best Western again. You have lost my business -- and would advise all others to stay away. When Best Western makes a mistake -- and it is a big one, they fail to take responsibility and you have to deal / pay for it. Terrible experience!
