    In Cavana neighborhood

    I liked the location, which is in the relaxed Cavana neighborhood near the Plaza-- cafes, bakeries, a supermarket, good restaurants. Staff members are very helpful, friendly and speak English. A very good breakfast, if available, have the apple strudel for breakfast, which was better than any we tasted in Vienna.

    I just spent one night at this hotel but now I wish it could have been considerably longer. It is very affordable, located in a great area with many things to do, and so comfortable. Everything has a modern Italian style about it. The staff are wonderful and most helpful. Here’s an interesting feature - the breakfast room (breakfast is very good by the way) has a small section with a glass see through floor that looks down into what look like old fortifications. I will definitely be back and am already looking forward to it.     Perfect Pre-Cruise Hotel!

    Was very happy with our stay here at Urban Hotel Design in Trieste. The hotel itself was very nice, and the location could not be much better! We stayed before boarding our ship and it was a five-minute walk to the pier! There was so much within walking distance, we just loved it! The ruins of a 1st century Roman amphitheater were a few blocks away and a healthy walk up to the top of the hill was Castello di San Giusto. The hotel offered a magnificent breakfast for 16Euro, worth every penny! A special shout out to Tommy in the dining area. He always was there to help with a smile and kind word. He worked his butt for and seemed to love helping everyone. The rooms were very modern, clean and cozy. Really cannot think of a negative thing to say about this place. And the price was very reasonable! Just go!
